the property is well refurbished. A/C was appalling noisy all night. My anxiety stressed partner could not sleep. Found it is the air extraction on the A/C. Cleaners will not clean above head height and the filter is filthy and air was struggling to get through. Food offering from adjacent was disgracefull. $51.00 for 6 pieces of pasta (maouthful size and a leaf salad.

The location was great however room was a bit small. The pillows were too high to sleep on and it was very uncomfortable. We didn’t get a decent sleep. Bathroom was outdated but I like how it was spacious enough.

It was a very convenient walk to the Opera House. Coming home was more difficult. The long corridor to the lifts from Elizabeth Street entrance was a little unnerving, especially as a strange man also came in. The entrance door was not locked. CH

Quiet but close to everything

This is my “go-to” hotel when I am in Sydney. It’s in a very quiet location in the Phillip st legal precinct area, yet just around the corner from busy Martin Place. For transport, a couple of minutes walk takes you to Martin Place Metro Station or alternatively to St James station, which is directly on the airport rail line. Parks and other attractions are within walking distance. Take the hotel lift down to LG and an alternate exit takes you out to Elizabeth Street.
