Travelling as a single parent, it meant so much all your staff we encountered welcomed and acknowledged the kids too. You made us all feel welcome. This was our second time to stay at W and you’ve firmly become our little family’s choice for Sydney accommodation.

Reception staff were great. Room was lovely. Great view. Rooftop bar closes at 11 and the bar on floor 30 closes at 10.30. Not sure why it closes so early as it’s a great spot !! Breakfast was terrible. Everything cold and even the eggs which were cooked to order were cold. The sourdough “toast” was not cooked, coffee was awful however there is a nice selection of options. We had to go backdown stairs to reactivate our key to get back to our room. Very annoying!

Breakfast way too busy. Over subscribed. Does not feel like 5* service as a result. Similarly the pool area was not clean. We received no acknowledgment of partners’ 40th birthday although I emailed twice and telephoned.

We were meant to check in at 3pm. We arrived a little after that and it was quite busy, which is understandable for a friday. We were told at 3.30pm our room wasn't ready, due to it being cleaned. It would be a 20min wait. I was with my husband and 2 young children. We waited in the foyer on lounges near the bar. It was comfortable. At 430pm i had to go and ask if our room was ready yet as it had been an hour. The room still wasn't ready. We were given a credit to use during our stay and the staff were apologetic. Our room was finally ready by 5pm. This is ridiculous! We shouldn't have had to wait this long. The indoor pool was great and kids had fun. Room.service was quick and great. Beds and pillows weren't comfortable. I asked for a low rose pillow the second day at 3pm. I was told they had one and would being it up. 8pm i called again and was told it would be 20min and they would bring it to our room. At 9pm my husband called and they said they didn't have any available. A phone call to let us know would have been sufficient. I would never stay here again, due to the poor service.

The staff were nice, but my feedback is mainly about the room itself. Our family has stayed at many W properties (Singapore, Seoul, Malaysia, etc.), and this was by far the worst in terms of room size, condition, and cleanliness. The room was extremely small, making it very difficult to move around. The light switches were confusing and overly bright, which disturbed our sleep. The bathroom was not properly separated, so when one person was using it, no one else could. Overall, the interior design was very inefficient and impractical. Elevators were also difficult to access, with long waiting times. Room cleaning was not done on the first day. Although a supervisor came daily to check whether cleaning had been completed, the quality was very poor—there was no vacuum cleaning, and used spoons were left behind. The hotel’s location is also not very convenient in terms of proximity to central areas. Overall, this stay was disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Very dark and moody vibe and beautiful decore. Great room, incredibly comfortable bed and room. Friendly-enough staff. Breakfast has an amazing spread and all looks very beautiful but the taste of the food served was only okay. One indoor and one outdoor Pool - both are quite compact so very busy. Outdoor pools closes at 5.30pm, including in the summer which is odd given the sun goes down at 8pm. For a hotel of that calibre, there are aspects that miss the mark a little.
