Relax, Unwind, and Reconnect at our Wakulla River Retreat “Treehouse”
Tucked back on 2 wooded acres, this sunny 1.5-story cottage is a private nature lovers’ retreat with decks and porches nestled right up in the tree canopy. Inside, you’ll find vaulted ceilings, 2 cheery, sunlit bedrooms with private porch access and 1.5 baths. This is the perfect home base for exploring this area of the Panhandle’s “Old Florida”
The property is located in neighborhood runs along the banks of the beautiful spring-fed Wakulla River. While the cottage itself isn’t directly on the water, it’s just a 4-minute walk to the private community dock and boat ramp, where our two kayaks (or our canoe) are available to explore the river. Keep an eye out for turtles, egrets, herons, and the occasional manatee along the way.
Our Wakulla River Retreat-Treehouse is also close to Ed Ball State Park, the St Marks National Wildlife Refuge, white sandy beaches, and Tallahassee — all 15-30 minutes away, so there’s plenty of fun to fill your days. But between morning coffee on the deck, dinners outdoors, and family time on the porch high in the trees, you may find you don’t want to leave the cottage at all.
