Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. Our check-in was delayed by about an hour. The hotel kindly offered us a suite while we waited, which I appreciated, but it didn’t have a balcony, so I asked if we could have the room type I originally booked. They agreed, and we moved into the booked room.
However, the room was not in good condition. The carpet was very dirty with many stains, and there were signs of water damage on the ceiling, making it look like the room had leaked multiple times in the past.
On our second night, during heavy rain, we woke up at around 2:00 a.m. to find rainwater leaking into the room, directly above an electrical outlet. This was a serious safety concern. I immediately contacted reception and requested a room change. The staff did move us, for which I am grateful, but the replacement room was a lower standard than the one I had originally booked. It was smaller and had a much smaller balcony.
While I appreciate the staff’s efforts to help, the delayed check-in, poor room condition, water leak, and downgrade in room quality made this a disappointing experience. I hope the hotel addresses these maintenance and safety issues to improve future guests’ stays.
