We were only entitled to 1 coffee at breakfast any more had to be paid for. Breakfast was quite basic. Good area to stay lots of nice traditional restaurants and very near to the market. Short walk to Skanderberg square

Nice comfortable stay. Air conditioning, hot water, comfortable room. Not too noisy. In a good location about eight minutes from the main Skandwnberg Square and about six minutes walking to a lot of good eating spots. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Well-appointed, clean rooms and generally helpful staff. The breakfast room has fish tanks for windows, which gives the amusing feeling that the restaurant is sunk into a pond, though the food is average. The location cannot be beat- right by the bizarre, tons of restaurants and a short walk to most museums and things tourists might like to see. Even close to a modern mall, if you forget something you need to buy. It’s noisy outside, but the double glazed windows do a shockingly great job of keeping the rooms very quiet. It even has a nice space outside to have a drink at the end of a busy day.

Clean and practical hotel.

Good and clean hotel. Service was okay but some of the night/evening staff were unsure about things in the hotel. The TV in our room also didn't work. Otherwise, hotel was very clean which was the main thing.

Nice place.

We only stayed one night on our way out of town the next day. The hotel is right in the middle of the city and so it’s close to the sqare, mall and nots or things to see. Great little coffee shop around the corner.

Excellent location, with lots of restaurants and shops close. Staff helpful. Breakfast disappointing--the same every day and no variety in cooked items. As I told Hercules when I checked out, it was not comfortable working on my laptop at the table in the room because the chair was too low and I had to put two pillows on it to reach a decent--but still not ideal--level. I realize that most of the Boka's guests are tourists, not business travelers, so may not use the chair, but it was an issue for me. Otherwise, generally pleased with the hotel.

Not a large airport. Just under 3hr flight from Stanstead. Taxi from airport €22 to hotel. They do offer a shuttle for €20. Pos - Hotel surrounded by bars, restaurants and close (walkable) to all tourist sights. We had a large twin room, plenty of space and very clean. Albania style furnished. Complimentary water and toiletries. Had a room overlooking the front. Despite range of restaurants etc on the doorstep, very quiet in the room. Neg - short on hangers, 3 between two of us. Addressed when raised. Reception staff miserable. Breakfast staff also not welcoming. Breakfast okay, wide range of choice but bread felt stale and food not of a great quality. Would not have had a second time if not included in price. Tourist sights not well signposted. You can easily walk past them. Lots of statues but they are not labelled in Albanian or English. House of leaves interesting, various mosques, Bock 2, (museum about communism). People friendly and helpful. Saw everything in the city over 1.5 days. Also hired a car and went up into the mountains to the cable car, good and a lake (reservoir), less exciting. However lots of beautiful scenery and great to see more of the country. All the food we ate out was of a high quality, large portions, and not expensive. Did not review anywhere, just happened upon places. A beer was £1.30 and a glass of wine about £2-3. Would like to go again and see a different part of the country.

An unexpected but pleasant stay in Tirana

We hadn’t originally planned to visit Tirana and this hotel was a last minute choice. It turned out to be great. The staff and room were fabulous. I suspect the breakfast would normally be good but we arrived just after a tour group had served themselves, so the choices were a bit sparse. Unfortunate timing on our part. It is in a great location and not too far from the Skanderbeg Underground Parking.

Hotel was perfectly located for what we wanted. Easy walking distance from the local buses and main attractions and plenty of restaurants and bars right on the doorstep too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and plenty of it, chef was always near at hand too if you had any questions or additional needs. Had a great stay, thank you.

Nice Hotel
