The service was excellent. The breakfast was also great. Location is wonderful as well. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but they are priced very well, so it’s great value for money!

Had a short stay at RIU and was incredibly impressed with the professionalism shown by the staff, cleanliness of room and a great breakfast spread. It was especially nice to meet and talk to the Chef who greeted guests lining up for breakfast and checked in on us our table as well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Everything is great but as it’s between the busy street of downtown, there is no parking at all so very inconvenient for those with vehicles to find parking on own and cross streets with luggage to reach hotel!

Beautiful new hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are very nice, good gym. Only challenge is the check-in process. Feels like you are checking into an all inclusive with all the paperwork. Needs to be adapted to local market and what competition does. Not a great start to my trip, but the rest was excellent.

Hotel Riu Plaza Toronto was suitable for our party of four (3 adults, 1 teen) for a one night stay. The facilities were modern (it's newly opened) and clean. The check-in experience seemed unnecessarily lengthy and required ID and signatures from all guests, which made the already small area extremely crowded. The room itself was on the small side for four people (typically for Toronto hotels). The room decor was nice and the beds were comfortable. The shower nozzle was a piece of work to figure out and the bathroom door (sliding) was so loud it woke everyone in the night. It is also frosted, so when you turn on the light, the whole room is illuminated, which isn't ideal for a room that is being shared with 3 other people, just some minor things that weren't thought through in the design phase. There weren't enough towels for 4 people when he arrived, nor were there coffee, water, etc for four. The area around the hotel is vibrant with lots of entertainment and restaurants in walking distance. We were also able to easy get to the hotel on foot from Union Station. The breakfast was good with lots of options, however, it would have been nice if it opened earlier (7:30 open on Sunday morning) as we needed to leave and had to rush our breakfast. The staff at the restaurant were super helpful and friendly. Was also able to fill up my reusable water bottle in the gym. Overall, a good stay, but there are definitely some things that need smoothing out.
