Stayed here for proximity to a concert venue.
The room was small but efficient, clean, and decorated with a simple modern look that was recently updated. In the morning there is coffee and tea in the front lounge. The front desk gentleman were friendly.
The neighborhood is near a university, and walking distance to cafes and casual eateries. The street is home to students and regular working people, and there is a transitional housing apartment building that others have mentioned with negativity. However, these residents didn't impact our visit. We've been to enough cities to know that a mix of people can live and exist on a single block in basic peace.
Public transport is nearby-a street car stop at the end of the block, and the underground station is about a 15 minute walk away, near Young-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square.
Would stay again for a quick trip where a spacious room isn't necessarily a priority.
