We were very disappointed by our stay at the Royal Sonesta. I had told the hotel in advance that we were getting married that day and would be checking in late at night. They told us that they would do something special for us for our wedding night, Because it was a big deal that we chose their hotel to spend a big night on. Once we arrived we noticed that our room had nothing in it and there was no mention of our wedding night in fact the next morning when I inquired about breakfast, the woman at the front desk made a demeaning comment saying oh yes, you checked in very late last night and when I told her that it was because we got married last night, she said “that’s fine”. Really disappointed that such a high rated luxury hotel would handle a special occasion this way. Really upset by this service and won’t be recommending the hotel unless they try to make it right.

Public Parking lot access in the rear is unsafe at night for single women, more signs and better lighting is needed as this is the only parking available.

The room was big, comfortable ans clean. There was a minibar. The hotel's location was nice, close to Spadina station and lots of restaurants and shops. The area felt mostly safe even coming back at night.

We visited from the US for a 5 day stay in Toronto. The staff were friendly and the restaurants on site offered a range of choices. The neighborhood is walkable and close to local transportation options. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Toronto.

Yorkville is a great walking area .Subway station across street ,great ,hotel envelopes has a hair salon in the lobby Staff are very welcoming rooms are a nice size and very clean with all amenities needed
