Inviting Country Cottage

In rural surroundings amidst olive and fig trees is this inviting country cottage.
The dwelling is situated on a large enclosed private property together with a larger family house and another tourist apartment.
The cottage has been modernized and offers a spacious living room with open kitchen area. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, as well as a bidet. It has a private yard with barbeque and private parking.
On hot summer days guests are welcome to use the large swimming pool.

CASAL DAS TÍLIAS is a small rural property in the Ribatejo region of Portugal.
The house and grounds are set on a slight hill overlooking picturesque valley of olive groves and fields. The location is easly reached from a municipal road (EM 539) connecting the villages of Lamarosa and Pé de Cão.
Due to its quiet location and lack of industry the countryside is full of songbirds and wild flowers which can be observed in walks across the meadows surrounding the house.

Within easy reach are small villages and some historic towns, such as Tomar (known for its Templar's history), Torres Novas and its castle, as well as Entroncamento, town for railway enthusiasts.
A little farther are the Sanctuary of Fatima and Coimbra with it's ancient University (Its history dates back to the beginnings of the founding of the Portuguese nation, in 1290, created by King D. Dinis I).
Not far away is the Dam of Castelo de Bode which supplies drinking water up to Lisbon. The Tagus river is also near and invites with the small island of Almourol and a picturesque ruined castle. Also within easy reach is the historic village of Constancia with its association with Portugal's great classic writer Luis Camões. In another direction lie the grottos of Santo Antonio and Mira de Aire and a national monument where Dinosauros tracts may be observed.

Casal das Tílias is set in the "real" still largely unknown interior of Portugal and an ideal location for a few days exploring this fascinating area.

Wonderful stay!

Such a peaceful location and Helga was a wonderful, helpful host. If it is going to be very hot I would recommend bringing a fan, but the pool was also very lovely to cool off in. Overall a very nice stay!

Foi maravilhoso, mas…

A Helga foi sempre excelente e todo o cottage era um mimo. Tudo limpo, necessidades suficientes e sentimo-nos super bem recebidos na casa. Apenas o anúncio não tem referência a que a piscina não é ao lado do cottage mas um pouco mais abaixo e pertencendo à casa da Helga ( o que também pode tornar-se um pouco intimidante, pois não estamos numa propriedade isolada como achamos que iríamos estar). Também a piscina não esteve sempre limpa… De resto, tudo impecável. Passamos uns bons dias porque no fundo só queríamos relaxar e passar uma boa semana

Semana de férias em Casal das Tílias

A nossa estadia, de 9 a 16 de agosto, na propriedade Casal das Tílias foi agradável. A lotacao da casa é de 4 pessoas e serviu o proposito de umas ferias descansadas para 3 adultos e uma criança. A casa correspondeu ao que estava anunciado e não se notou a falta do ar condicionado. Estava bem apetrechada de loiças e eletrodomésticos (só faltava mesmo a maquina de lavar loiça e a de cafe expresso) mas os moveis eram antigos e denotavam pouca manutenção (as gavetas da comoda estavam perras e e custavam a abrir e fechar, os moveis da cozinha tinham 1 porta que não fechava e o manipulo da porta do quarto com 2 camas estava solto). A piscina era espetacular e muito bem cuidada. Apesar da nossa anfitriã morar na casa principal junto à piscina, tivemos sempre privacidade. A D. Helga foi muito simpatica e prestavel assim como a sua empregada. Relativamente ao restante espaço exterior notámos que estava muito selvagem, havia muito mato e algumas arvores precisavam de ser podadas principalmente as que se encontravam entre o portao de acesso e a casa (os ramos batiam no tejadilho do carro e em caso de incendio seria muito complicado sairmos da propriedade).

Férias em família

Espaço muito acolhedor e tranquilo, ideal para quem procura umas férias para descansar, para nós foi ideal temos crianças que adoram o espaço exterior E a piscina. O interior da casa é pequeno mas acolhedor deu perfeitamente, apenas destaco o fato de termos apanhado dias muito quentes (42°)e só tínhamos uma ventoinha que não foi soficiente para refrescar o espaço interior da casa, a casa de banho é pequena mas serve apenas acho que o chuveiro deveria ser trocado. Gostamos muito pensamos em voltar novamente.
