This is a decent middle-of-the-road property to stay at, in my opinion. Appears upscale on paper, but has more of a trusty, reliable nature in reality. It’s a large property and the amount of guests mean it’s always busy, waiting in line for everything is a given. The condition of our room was pretty beat-up - the place is ready for some maintenance. The restaurant is beautiful and high quality though.

Our two bedroom suite was very comfortable for the five of us. We loved that the hotel was one of the stops on the Hop on Hop Off Trolley. It was an easy walk to check in for our cruise

Pre-cruise Stay

Loved the location and the fact that we had a large refrigerator and sitting area as well as two bathrooms. A microwave would have been more beneficial than an oven. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The fact that one of the bedrooms had no A/C vent was disappointing. That room remained very warm, even though we kept the drapes pulled. A good renovation may be due soon.

Our room was tired: wallpaper coming loose, wobbly handles on the sink and shower, missing towel knob. The decor was drab, the chairs uncomfortable, the chandelier outrageously ugly. It took few calls each day to get three bath towels for three guests. We needed to ask for a microwave because you can't see the controls on the built in. There was no tray provided for reheating items. The concierge service was helpful, but for this price point, a pleasant, well maintained room and service ought to be a no- brainer.

Really liked the property. It was very clean in our room and when we arrived we found out the pool was out of order which sucked since we had originally booked this hotel for the pool. We ended up using another hotel for their pool which we were grateful for, especially with small kids

We checked in and the first thing I asked the man at the desk was if they could get us a van for the cruise ship the next day. There were 5 of us with 10 suitcases so we couldn’t fit in one car. He was adamant that the hotel had no van service or any way to get us a van so I said then I would request 2 Ubers, which I did. The next morning the doorman asked me why I didn’t get a van and I told him what I was told. He said absolutely they could have ordered us a van so I feel disgusted that the guy appeared to just not want to accommodate us. He was also very brisk and not very friendly. The room was ok but definitely needed to be refurbished, especially the main bathroom. The location was great and we got around easily. We stayed there in 2017 and wanted to go back as it had been great . It’s amazing how one person can make a difference!
