Our beautiful private property overlooking the Wet Mountain Valley has a pond, year round Buttermilk creek that sounds lovely even in Winter. Our private access to the San Isabel National forest & the 90 mile Rainbow trail along the Sangre de Christo Mountains. Hunter paradise. Fall asleep to the sound of running water & sipping coffee in the gazebo by the pond. At night light the fire in the wood stove and while you are warm and see the flames dancing in our cozy house with wrap around deck and views into the wet mountain valley with many forests, meadows, trails, lakes to boat and fish.
Or light a fire in our fire ring while watching the night sky.
From the porch you can see passing by (specially early and at dusk) Elk, deer, turkey and hummingbirds that you can watch and admire.
The house has 1 bedroom with King bed. 1 bedroom with a Queen bed and a twin, one room with 1 Double and 1 single bed, and 1 single bed on the upper loft.
A lovely brand new kitchen to cook and a wrap around porch and deck to enjoy views and the sound of the creek

We are at the upper part of our property, we run a wildland fire fighting company and are building a Meditation Retreat Center in the Dominican Republic. You are welcome to visit with us, but we basically let our guests enjoy the place on their own, We hope you enjoy all the nature and Privacy. We also have some lovely animals on our ranch two really lovely dogs Great Pyrenees Shifu and Tiny, they are here to keep the bears away, and are amazing guard dogs that will look after you and may come on hikes with you. They are very friendly with people, though they may bark to keep bears and other predators away and love people. We have 2 outdoor cats Max and Moritz who keep the packrats away and are very friendly. We have one indoor cat that stays in our office shed when we have guests. Our horses Rusty and Marley love to roam the property and come by for some carrots. You may see some of our fire fighting trucks deploy from the top of the property to go save the land.
Meanwhile in the summer month many humming birds will be visiting you when you are sitting on the porch relaxing in a rocking chair.
Just think of having your own mountain abode tucked away mountain abode:)
