Not what you see….

The beautiful view and our room we’re probably the only two positives about this place. The restaurant service was very lacking, prices were high, especially for the quality of food. Very watery clam chowder and cutting into the fish water also came out. They locked in service and had lots of personal conversations going on. The ambience of the restaurant that you’re supposed to have reservations for had none. There were children in that area yelling making noise causing commotion. Maybe have the family seating on one side and they find dining on the other. The exterior of the hotel was terrible and needs a very good cleaning and update. No designated smoking area so we were constantly walking through people smoking at entryways and patios, and the smoke would come up into our room upstairs. Check-in seemed like a joke as the lady was a little aggressive, although she tried to say she was joking. It wasn’t a very friendly encounter. We were disappointed to also be told that we could not have fresh flowers in our room because we did not give enough notice yet while we were checking in. The employee came in with an arm full of flowers and said he had extra if they were needed. For what you pay I definitely think some accommodations are modifications should be made. Would we come back possibly but I would probably look elsewhere first.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean view suite with a living area and patio. (I see now that this was the one type of room without a Expedia review Score.. other rooms had high stars!) We were excited to visit someplace over looking the Oregon Coast! When you arrive it is a parking lot that greets you, and its hard to walk because of the layout and the unevenness. The lobby had a whole sidewall or window missing and was covered in plywood, The lady at the front lobby was friendly. But the inside of lobby is mildew smelling and not very apoealing. I wanted to feel relaxed after a long drive and instead felt unsure- Did I pick the wrong place? The hallways to our room needed paint, the carpets were all mismatched. In our room, the kitchen was very outdated like the furniture and the living room was well…suspect. Everything looked haphazardly put together. The fireplace didnt work. The TV and Remote Control looked new; there was a Netflix button but we were disappointed we couldnt stream because the property didnt have wifi to the tvs. The heater against the wall looked unclean and full of orange rusty looking marks and I wondered about our suite’s cleanliness except for the beds and towels. Im sorry, I tried to like it since I paid a good amount but instead wished I stayed somewhere else.

We stayed here 3-4 years ago and it was awesome, so we stayed again the next year. They were going thru an owner change and the rooms were torn up, dirty, bugs coming out of holes in the wall, etc. We decided to give it another try because we love the location and it had been 2 years. The lobby is beautiful, and they have fixed most of the issues, but not all. There was no screen on our window, so when we opened it to hear the ocean, the bugs, etc, could fly right in. The beds were uncomfortable. The TV had EXTREMELY LIMITED channels, Netflix was offered, but it didn't work. If it's a stormy day, you need good TV options. Their restaurant used to be top quality, specifically the chowder, but now it's runny, and my shrimp/grits appetizer was SWIMMING in grease. Inedible. They need a new chef if they are charging $30-$40/meal. Won't be back. So sad because they used to be great. The best part of the stay was the staff, who are very helpful and friendly.

The Adobe resort is the best place to stay in Yachats as far as I'm concerned. I've stayed there numerous times, usually a week in the winter, and a week in the spring. Always beautiful, right on the ocean with the waves crashing into the rocky shore. Great food in the restaurant...Beautiful scenery...Downtown Yachats within walking distance with great little shops to explore...and score some excellent fudge...

All the staff were very nice, and the area around the hotel was very pretty. Although, the online booking is odd and I thought I reserved a room with a hot tub and fireplace, but it just had the fireplace and the fireplace didn’t work so a pretty basic room.
