The hotel and our room was clean and very nice, but I’m still shaking my head over no ice buckets provided in this hotel because we “have a kitchenette and can freeze our own ice”!!! Listen folks, after 8 hours of driving we just wanted to put our feet up and have a cold drink. Do you know how long it takes to freeze a tray of ice? Ours wasn’t ready until the next day. And only ONE tray at that! And even the front desk doesn’t have any ice buckets—“use a bowl or a saucepan from your cupboard and you can get ice on the first floor”. C’mon—ridiculous and unnecessary. •The breakfast both days had a nice variety and was plentiful. Missing—a small cooler or fridge with cartons of milk. •The pool and hot tub were clean and welcome after a long travel day. •There was a lovely, well furnished patio off the breakfast area, though we didn’t get to use it.

When we first checked in on Friday night, the female employee at the front desk was not welcoming and pleasant at all. It felt like we were an inconvenience to her. But the staff on Saturday and Sunday were welcoming and excellent. We loved our room and loved the location! We'll definitely be back!
