I have my dog with me & we had recently stayed at another hotel in Bakersfield. I believe in picking up after your animals. The hotel we stayed at previously did nothing to enforce this or to clean up, I had to watch my step every time I took my furbaby outside, there was that much poop every where. My stay at the Vagabond was the opposite. There were still people who didn't pick up after there animals but the hotel made sure to keep their areas clean. This was greatly appreciated! No one wants to take their dog out at 1am, half asleep, & realize you just stepped in a pile of poo! I would definitely recommend the Vagabond to anyone who is looking for a place that is cost friendly, clean, & has a courteous staff.

I checked in with my wife area was ok. As soon as we walk in there's patches on the ceiling patches in the doors. No toilet paper, looked they didn't even clean there was stains in the sheets. The toilet was running and didn't stop no fresh towels. We go back down to see if we can get a refund said we have to go thru Expedia because it was booked thru them and then nothing can't get a refund can't get credited. Nothing was resolved. I will definitely not be staying there ever again and will start using another 3rd party like trivago

First room was filthy and the bathroom was wet and flooded. Second room had mystery stains and holes in bedding and the shower head sprayed and flooded the bathroom because it wasn’t tightened. Seemed like that bathroom had been flooded many times due to lots of water damage,Furniture was water damaged and had chips and cracks. Air conditioner filters were filthy so I washed them. Only got 2 thin cheap bath towels and one thin hand towel. No wash cloth. I’d rather sleep in my Prius.

The shower faucet was too hard to pull. I thought there was no water and called for the service. The guy showed that there was water by pulling out the tab. I tried hard to pull it out. My wife has no way to pull out the tab for the water. Roach appeared. Only a small towel before we asked for more. Mattress was soft. The free continental breakfast is fair. Although there was no yogurt, the DIY waffle was good.

We had ordered steak from Texas roadhouse and we had it in the microwave and we try to get it out the microwave when it open it locked on us and they couldn't get it open either so we lost out on that. There was cockroaches in the bathroom and the Sink area the breakfast area was good though clean blankets had cigarette burns towels were completely stained but overall it was an OK. Stay for the night i was super tired.
