Okay hotel

I have stayed at a lot of different hotels from 2-star to 5-star and this hotel is definitely an average 3-star hotel. It had high ratings for being clean, but I found it to be a little dated, and not as clean as I had hoped. The mini lotion bottle in the room had been used and was half-full. The tiles in the bathroom either needed to be deep cleaned or were stained. Breakfast buffet was good and a typical free breakfast at a hotel. There didn't seem to be a lot of high rated hotels under $200, so for the price, I think it was okay and would probably stay again.

The breakfast upset my stomach. My son barely ate the breakfast because it didn’t taste great. I don’t like wasting food so I forced myself to eat it. The room was clean and comfortable but I didn’t expect it to be so small. It was enough room for my son & I. But it wouldn’t have been big enough for more than 2 people.

While the lobby & gym are great, our room was pretty shabby and outdated but great water pressure in the shower. Also, the COVID-19 precautions note is completely out of date. The pool could use some shade, considering the Baton Rouge temperatures, too. The lobby staff was great too, however having to ask for toilet paper and clean towels every other day was bothersome.

Rate to stay at location is not what was quoted, the rate changed and was higher, they don’t care what it was booked at and that you should be locked in at that rate. Toilet didn’t flush, someone came to look at it, said it was a seal issue but a temporary fix was done; later on when it didn’t work, we were told they weren’t coming to fix it (complaint will be given when speaking with corporate). TV didn’t work, shower only had scalding hot or ice cold water. Would not recommend this hotel and will never return

The best place to stay hands down!

Very comfortable beds, very clean, all kitchen amenities in place, easy check in, easy check out. Room AC worked great (was a concern of mine staying at other places that it never got cold enough) so that was a huge plus!! Only suggestion would be a trash can in kitchen area. There was a small trashcan by the desk that was like a 5 gallon trash can. I dint take advantage of the breakfast because I needed to leave for work at 6a and breakfast was at 630a but my husband went and said it was very nice. Wifi-was fast, which is another plus for me to work in evenings on computer. I work in the area multiple times a month and will definitely stay again. Staff was always smiling and helpful :) Thanks for a great experience!

College Baseall in Baton Rouge.

I have lived in Louisiana for ten years in the NOLA area. This was my first time to Baton Rouge to watch LSU versus Arkanas. The Tigers lost 7-4, but it was a good game. The fans were very nice. I love the atmosphere The baseball stadium is about half a mile away. Everbody walks to the game. I just followed the fans. I will come back to watch college baseball in Baton Rouge again. Maybe i will catch some football games. The room is big and very nice. I like the refrigerator, micro wave and kitchen area. The bed is very comfortable to sleep in. I like the sofa and desk area. I would return to Sonesta ES Suites again.
