Welcome to the Basalt Bungalow! This fully furnished two-bedroom, three-bed (1 king, 1 queen, 1 sleeper sofa), one-bath home is in popular Westside Newport Avenue Neighborhood, Bend! Enjoy the large covered porch, private fenced yard, and hot tub year-round! Relax in the bay window in the living room or find a cozy nook outside. You'll love this westside getaway!

DOWNTOWN LOCATION
Steps from local favorites! Get treats at Nancy P's and fresh coffee at Backporch Roasters. Grocery at Newport Market and dining at Chow, Spork, and Kebaba are one block away! Mirror Pond and Downtown Bend are 1-5 blocks away, and Mt. Bachelor is just 20 minutes up the road. Live like a local in Bend!

HEATING & COOLING
This classic bungalow is shaded by trees and has a window A/C unit plus central fan for summer cooling. Central heat keeps you warm on chilly nights.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Sleeps up to 6; just make sure you are comfortable sharing the 1 bathroom. There is 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, and a queen hide-a-bed in the living room. This is a memory foam sleeper sofa but as you know, most sleeper sofas are best for a smaller person or a kiddo! Pack & Play crib is available as well (bring your own baby sheets). You'll also find extra blankets to keep you cozy!

KITCHEN AND DINING
Enjoy a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops. The eat-in kitchen has a table for 6. The outdoor patio table also seats 6 and includes a propane BBQ. A high chair is provided.

Outside, there's a spacious landscaped yard with blooming trees. The private salt water hot tub is perfect for year-round soaks (whisper after 10 PM). Enjoy BBQs on the sunny patio. A locked shed for gear storage has bikes and helmets (bring your own helmet). No smoking.

Amazing house and Location in Bend

The house was amazing. It’s close to everything Bend has to offer. It was very clean and a very quiet neighborhood. I would recommend staying if you need a place to stay in Bend.

Fantastic Fall Getaway

Property was great just an old cottage in bend with a hot tub, grill and secluded feel with trees. It was very clean and tidy. The location in town is about as perfect as you can get being close to coffee, bakeries, breweries and food. It is also on the right side of town for quick access to mountain biking which is why I chose it. Nice neighborhood with a fantastic culinary grocery store making cooking easy if you so choose. I had a small problem with the check in as there was a double charge on my card but they were quick to respond about my questions. In the end it all worked out fine and actual check in and instructions were prompt and no trouble. I would recommend this location and the company that controls the property.

Comfortable Stay in Prime Location

I’ve boiled my rental experiences down to 3 questions. 1. Was the location good? Yes! We’ve stayed in this neighborhood twice and it has everything a person could want (quiet, food and beverage, grocery store, coffee shops, walking and biking). 2. Were the beds comfortable? Yes! I have a bad hip and had no problem sleeping. 3. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

The house was perfect for our friend group of six! Had all the amenities listed and some more. Really enjoyed our stay here! Close by a market and many breakfast and coffee spot. Short drive to Galveston st, downtown and old mill.

Cute, older house on a quiet street, walking distance to brunch, 1 block from nice grocery store. It was 95F degrees the weekend we visited Bend, the house was cool inside and the yard was beautifully shaded by a big leafy tree and fully fenced.

Great location

We stayed here for a weekend that included floating the river and a concert at Hayden Homes. The house was perfectly suited to our needs (two couples) with comfy beds, great A/C, and the perfect location to walk to the market, restaurants, and even home from the concert venue. We had plenty of space to leave our paddle boards out to dry and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. Will keep this place on the short list for future visits to Bend!

We had a great time

We had a wonderful time at this property. Myself, my fiancé and 2 friends spent a long weekend in Bend with our 2 dogs. The property is great for dog owners. Spacious & fully fenced yard. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the grocery store was just across the street which was a plus. The location was great, many cafes and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and downtown Bend was a 20-minute walk. The owners were very responsive and accommodated our last-minute request to extend our stay. We would definitely come back!

A lovely and comfortable home in the perfect location

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration at this cozy home. The hot tub was a highlight! And the neighborhood was amazing -- walking distance to downtown! I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and house. Saltwater hot tub was wonderful and the king bed was comfortable. The house is within walking distance to natural grocery store, excellent coffee, and restaurants. We used the bikes once and that was fun. We’ll definitely return!

Diana's place was great for a weekend getaway! The location is fantastic with numerous restaurants within walking distance. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great! Would definitely stay here again.

The house and location were great. That being said, the A/C was ok in respect to keeping the living area cool, but the lacked in the rest of the house, including the master. The hot tub hours were sort of bad though. Having the jets be too loud for neighbors after dark, when it's cool enough to enjoy was a bit lackluster. I'd rent from this company again, but I'd pass on getting a unit with a hot tub again.

Great location for the price. Needs a little bit of upkeep. Hot tub controllers didn’t work, broken hairdryer, rusty teapot. Very heavy air freshener smell when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and sheets were high-quality. A nice quiet neighborhood close to breweries and parks. We didn’t have a dog with us, but it is a great property for those who have one. Fully fenced yard, pet friendly interior.

Great location, communicative hosts!

Thanks Stone's Throw team for being responsive! We enjoyed our stay, and really loved the location. Squeaky floor, so no sneaking around after the kids are in bed, but otherwise a perfect place for a week in Bend.
