The air conditioning did not work. I was there for 4 days and on the last day it smelled like roach spray in the second floor hallway. Paid for breakfast in advance and it only comes with a drink and a choice of pancake or French toast, eggs and sausage are extra. I ordered an extra juice that was $5. I ordered a side of sausage that was $5. Of course none of this includes a tip.

Oktoberfest stay

I loved that the location is just steps from the village—so many things are within easy walking distance. We were there for Oktoberfest and didn’t have to walk far to catch the free transit to the convention center. There’s even a German deli with beer across the steeet. Those were the big wins. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the property overall was clean. That said, it’s definitely dated. The bathroom towels were super thin—think 1-ply—and way too small for an adult (they barely wrap around you), so bring your own if you can. I was hoping to enjoy the pool, but it was small and awkwardly placed in the parking lot, so that was a no-go. The AC wasn’t working during my stay, though they did provide fans. The property could use some updates and repairs, but nothing was truly awful. It felt like I was visiting in the off-season; I imagine the place comes alive in the winter. There’s even a little on-site restaurant and bar with live music at night, which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s not as cute, modern, or comfortable as other Big Bear spots I’ve stayed at, but the unbeatable location in the heart of the village makes it worth considering—especially during the winter months

The hot tub was not working. One of the reasons I booked this place. Last night there, a loud and obnoxious group of people came back to their rooms yellling, and making way too much noise from 12am to 2am. No security???This used to be my favorite hotel in Big Bear. Probably won't be back.

The service was good. The air conditioning was broken and there were ants in our room. I also asked about the hot tub and was told it was a cold plunge. That is weird. Seems more like they just don’t want to heat it. Had breakfast at the restaurant and it was decent. Service was very good there. Prob won’t go back. For the price we will go to an air b and b

The expedia site indicates that breakfast is included in a stay on this property. This seems not to be the case. There is an attached restaurant, which is under separate management, and during our stay there they did not open for breakfast (although we had been told that breakfast would be available there from 7:00 AM.

There was an issue with check in that was likely a combination of issues between the hotel and Expedia that clearly had frustrated the hotel employees and guests as generally tensions were elevated during check in and it was not the most pleasant experience but it was able to be resolved. The AC was not working in the entire hotel and it was a hot weekend though it cooled down pretty well at night and was quiet enough to keep the windows open. The hotel location is great! Very walkable to things and ample parking which was appreciated. Generally pleasant stay.

Nobody’s on the same page …

1. Air didn’t work. They said they’ll bring a fan to the room and never did. 2. TV didn’t work. One person says they’ll send someone up. We went out for several hours for dinner return to it still not working. Call down again they say it’s still not working properly. 3. The restaurant said they closed at 10 (on a Friday night) but when we walked down at 8:45 pm they said the kitchen closes at 9. It was so annoying because the hotel was a perfect location to everything but now we’d think twice before booking here again.

We went to this hotel for our baby moon on labor day weekend and it was very very warm outside, once we got there to check in the front desk gal told us there AC is down and she will put us down stairs where it’ll be cooler also have housekeeping bring a fan for me since i’m pregnant! haha so let me tell you the fan they brought was as big as my ipad! and they only brought one fan, my poor fiance didn’t get one for himself for the nightstand, I asked them for another fan twice and since didn’t bring it, I gave up and we tried to make it work for both of us.. also if we wanted to open the glass screen door for cold air at during night time there’s no outside screen where you can lock it only an glass screen door!! so you can’t really have that open during night while we are sleeping cause anyone can walk it! anyways all I have to say about this place is please at least call your guest let them know when there’s no AC in the hotel when it’s literally around 80s and let them know about the downstairs rooms only has a glass screen doors.. we both had an uncomfortable experience and it’s sucks cause i really love big bear it’s just this hotel of choice! also to mention the front desk gal said she was going to give me $50 off for the inconvenience due to the AC system, I did not see it on my final bill? I didn’t even want to argue and call them for the $50 off they can keep it! cause we’re definitely not coming back to this hotel…

I have stayed at this facility a few times over the years. this was the last time I'll chose this site. No A/C, no TV, check in took 45 minutes with only 5 people in line and 2 clerks behind the counter. apparently there were issues with 3rd party reservations. no discount offered for lack of services.

Great location, friendly staff, and free parking… but that’s it. The AC system was down for the whole property, they don’t let you know before arrival but when you arrive with a sign on the front doors. What are you supposed to do get a last minute reservation elsewhere? They did “upgraded” us to a balcony room with the idea of opening the balcony door over night to cool room. It worked but tell me why there isn’t a least a screen door to avoid bugs from coming in and a little extra safety. The pool and jacuzzi were also out of service and again no heads up when booking, specifically booked this hotel for jacuzzi use. Would stay here only for proximity to the village and free parking but that’s it!

The ac didn't work, look like it never works, outside the window a guy working the holiday weekend fixing something from the hotel, the receptionist where so rude, bad manners, pool water so cold, spa close. My reservation with Expidia was 387.00 and the hotel charge me 420.00 extras fees and taxes, Expidia didn't tell me about it
