Good basic hotel. My room overlooked an AC unit and a small roof. The soundproofing wasn’t great. I could hear steps above my room when I was trying to go to sleep and when I woke up. Several doors slamming in the hallway in the morning wasn’t so peaceful. Room was fine, if small. A lamp didn’t work. Shower was small. Mattress was puffy but a trifle uncomfortable. Safe was on the floor and a bit hard to access. AC worked well. Front desk staff were fine, but typical aloof Gen Z attitude. Perfunctory and not friendly. Felt transactional. I felt a bit like a gnat. I did appreciate the microwave in the basement as I had to use it for medical purposes. I valeted my car, there’s a charge, but all fine. Very well-located in the Porter Square area.

A great 5 day stay. Convenient. Great responsive staff. Valet parking is affordable. Walkable to Harvard sites and easy across the street access to red line subway which can take you anywhere.

This was a great find for the price in Boston. Staff was incredible - above and beyond in many ways! Really enjoyed my time here, and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a reasonable Boston option!

Clean close to everything. The T is directly across the street. There is a target, cvs and grocery store. So many restaurants and shops in walking distance. Love this location will be back next year.

Pleasant stay

Perfect place to stay when visiting Lesley or Cambridge. Easy access to the T and walkable to restaurants. Quiet place with comfortable beds and pillows. Nice alcove window facing the street. Room is very small but didnt spend much time in it.

The bed and the pillows were so soft. It was right across from the subway station with several food options like Panera Bread and a coffee shop next door. Target was across the street as well. Great location.

Rooms were clean and well stocked but very small. Location is across the street from the metro so that makes it easy to get a round. Valet parking was perfect. I thought location was a bit off the beaten path but I am new to Boston so wasnt sure where to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 1868. We loved it was near the train and dining options. The rooms were clean, comfortable and although not spacious exactly perfect for two people. I would stay here again.
