The hotel has a lot of potential and an amazing gym. Unfortunately it seems that they don’t invest heavily into it so there are small issues that don’t get taken care of, broken toilet paper holders, light staffing, broken soap dispenser in bathroom. If they invested a bit of money into the place, it would be too tier.

Great location and comfortable facilities. The hotel was proactive in asking how my stay was going, but follow-through was generic or lacking, resulting in my room not being cleaned. Also, the tissue box was practically empty, as was the body soap. Other than that, this was a nice base while visiting Burlington, and it was close to Church Street and the ECHO Center.

Were there 8 nights, of the 8 the room only was attended 4 days, one day they enter to leave toilet paper and did not do anything else. Complained to front desk and the lady who answered with disrespect telling not to put the do not disturb sign, told her I did not, but she keep pushing the do not disturbs sign excuse. 2nd time we call told again about the sign and that she will call me back, I'm still waiting. This is an expensive hotel with no in room service, also reserved a thanksgiving dinners in hotel restaurant skiff fish at 8pm they told us kitchen close at 9pm we order everything came before 9pm, then we order dessert they did not let us eat the dessert at the table, they gave us a to go bag because they were cleaning to close the restaurant and needed us to get out. It was a bad experience all over, in a Hotel that claims almost 4 stars, Stay some place else don't spend your money on this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and our view was absolutely amazing. The pillows and mattresses were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and loved the provided Lockwood products. We did book the poolside room which was not available; we would have liked to have known that since we were counting on that. Some other things to know; there was not a microwave or coffee maker in the room. However, the coffee machine was provided in the hall with hot chocolate and tea as well. A couple times during our stay the coffee machine was not working. There is a cafe on the mezzanine level, though(which also provided sandwiches and a buffet breakfast). The other point to mention is that the location can’t be beat! It’s in walking distance to Church Street which has tons of quaint stories and restaurants.

The staff was polite. The shower was great and athe Lockwood shampoo etc was wonderful. The elevator was really fast. The room was really small and we were with a dog so it was difficult. No plates or bowls. The coffee makers on the floors were mostly not working, we finally found one on floor 7.

Charging an amenity fee and having your pool closed is weak. Calling yourself a luxury hotel and having the heat knock/rattle all night, the soap dispenser ripping out of the wall, and rock hard mattresses is far from luxury. We’ve stayed hear many times over the past 20 years. We’ll look elsewhere moving forward.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and the staff at Old Skiff were amazing. The pool was drained and there was an event at the hotel that was very strange. It advertised winter cocktails, puppies and Santa but there were no cocktails and the whole thing seemed like a corporate mental health session. I specifically picked the hotel for the pool and wanted to ask about the “winter cocktails” so I went to the front desk where I spoke with Veronica. She did not greet me- instead she said “I’ve already seen you walking here..” I am a guest at the hotel so makes sense but it was in a rude tone. Anyways I asked about the winter cocktails and she said “well did you check?” Yes. I did and there weren’t any. Then she said “did you take a picture with the dog?” The whole interaction was weird and passive aggressive to I brought up the pool (my first time complaining at a hotel). After some back and forth she said she would “do something.” I also asked for the cleaners to make my bed since they only changed out the towels and she said they could do that. End of story, I came back that evening- bed not made and when I checked out she left no note to the other front desk staff that had also heard the entire interaction (I’d spoken to her 2-3 times by the end of it). So she really planned to do nothing. Cherry on top- at the begging you’re supposed to get discounts per day per person. I got 1 when I checked in when I should have gotten 4 since I was staying 2 nights and with someone.
