Amazing!

Totally wonderful villa. Spotless, well equipped, stunningly designed. Easy check in with local agent. Good comms prior to trip with owner. A fabulous week spent relaxing, dipping, drinking in the amazing views. Cant say much more other than id happily spend longer there!

Beautiful, comfortable house in an amazing setting and great location.

Our stay at the Casa Sienna was wonderful. The house exceeded our expectations in every way. It was very spacious tastefully decorated and clean. We loved walking out in the morning to see the breathtaking view and enjoy breakfast on the veranda. The location of the house is very convenient for exploring Istria in a tiny village with a nice restaurant within walking distance. The host Andrea was very helpful prior to our arrival. She helped us make arrangements for transportation and rental car when we arrived. She even made arrangements for us to dine at the amazing Slow Food Restaurant near by. She is an excellent host and has thought about every detail. The detailed handbook that was in the house was extremely helpful. The tips that were given and we followed made our stay even more enjoyable. I can recommend this house 100% and hope someday to return to it.

Fabulous stay at casa Sienna

We had a family holiday here - three generations, including a four week old baby, in September, and all had a wonderful time. We were very impressed with casa Sienna and particularly liked the layout with the bedrooms and bathrooms being behind two doors which meant we didn't hear the baby! The villa was very clean, all the equipment and furnishings were of good quality and the kitchen was very well equipped. We particularly appreciated the comfortable sofas outside - a great place to relax and read in the shade. We spent most of our time at the villa and the active among us appreciated the table tennis and badminton rackets. The pool water was a little too cool for us though as the temperature was cooling down in September. Andrea responded quickly to queries and Smiljan the caretaker spoke very good English and was very patient with us on arrival, answering all our questions. He was on hand at the other end of the phone when the electricity went down, keeping us informed and reassured (my daughter in law is diabetic and it was essential her medication was kept cool). We had a lovely meal at Smiljan's family restaurant in Vrh which is well recommend. The village of Sovinjak only has a church and a restaurant (the views are spectacular) and the villa is about 15 minutes drive from the nearest shops (Buzet) so it is a great 'away from it all' destination. Motovon is about 15 minutes away by car. There is plenty to do in the area if you wish and this part of Croatia is very much cheaper than the south. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa - we regularly holiday as a family and this was by far the best we have stayed in.

A wonderful spot in the hills of Istria

Casa Sienna is a beautiful home in a small hill town close to Buzet. We had a wonderful stay there relaxing by the pool and making day trips to surrounding sights. Very comfortable, quiet and serene, with good shopping in nearby Buzet.

Relaxing holiday with friends

The Villa is perfect if you want to have a relaxed holiday with friends. We went climbing, to good truffle restaurants and even to the sea. And hanging out in the house is amazing.

Tolles Ferienhaus in ruhiger Berglage

Das Ferienhaus liegt in dem kleinen Bergdorf Sovinjak in der Nähe von Buzet. Im Dorf gibt es eine hervorragende Konoba mit istrischen Spezialitäten, tollem Service und wunderschönem Ausblick, die fussläufig zu erreichen ist. Oliven- und Weinbauern sind in unmittelbarer Nähe zu finden. Supermarkt, Fleischerei, Bäcker, Apotheke (usw) gibt es in Buzet (ca 12 Minuten Fahrt mit dem Auto). Das Haus hat einen schönen Garten mit Feigenbäumen und Kräutern. Der Pool ist ca 50qm groß und hat einen flachen Einstieg. Es gibt eine Tischtennisplatte, einen Holzkohlegrill und viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten im Aussenbereich. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bestens ausgestattet. Neben Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler und separatem Getränkekühlschrank gibt es eine kleine „Bibliothek“ und eine große Sammlung von Gesellschaftsspielen. Das WLAN ist (zum Glück für die mitgereisten Teenager) fast überall gut. Alle Wohn- und Schlafräume sind mit einzelnen Klimaanlagen ausgestattet. Es gibt insgesamt 4 Schlafräume (3 OG, 1 EG), von denen 2 jeweils ein eigenes Badezimmer haben . Die übrigen Schlafräume teilen sich ein Badezimmer. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es zudem noch ein Gäste-WC. Insgesamt ist es ein wunderschönes Objekt in ruhiger Lage, in dem man sehr gut entspannen kann. Dafür haben wir gern längere Fahrtzeiten zu anderen Zielen in Istrien in Kauf genommen. Leider gab es in diesem Jahr viele Mücken, möglicherweise wegen eines Stausees in der Umgebung. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und antwortet auf Fragen schnell. Der Hausverwalter vor Ort ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich und gibt gute Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Spezialitäten. Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Eine Finca bei der es uns an nichts gefehlt hat

Wir haben mit insgesamt 8 Personen unseren Sommerurlaub in der Casa Sienna verbracht und diese Zeit dort sehr genossen. Der Check-in, mit der Hausführung durch den Hausverwalter, hat problemlos funktioniert und er hat uns ein paar wertvolle Tips für Ausflüge, Sehenswertes, Restaurants etc. mit auf den Weg geben können. Die Ausstattung der Casa Sienna ließ für uns keine Wünsche offen. In der Küche waren mehr als nur die notwendigen Utensilien vorhanden, Dinge wie z.B. eine Backform ein Handrührgerät, Zitruspresse, Küchenhobel, Sparschäler etc. gehörten dazu. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und die Klimaanlagen ermöglichen durch die Nutzung am Abend einen wirklich erholsamen Schlaf. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag von uns als nicht Wein-, sondern Biertrinker, wäre ein zweiter Kühlschrank um Getränke kühlen zu können. Der Kühlschrank in der Küche ist geräumig genug, um die Lebensmittel für 8 Personen zu kühlen, aber für die Getränke reicht die Kapazität dann nicht so ganz aus. Wir haben dann mit den drei Schubfächern des Gefrierschrankes gearbeitet, das hat auch funktioniert... Abschließend läßt sich sagen, dass es nicht unser letzter Urlaub in der Casa Sienna war, wir kommen sicher wieder und freuen uns schon jetzt auf den nächsten erholsamen Urlaub in dem tollen Haus!

Riesiges Haus mit Aussicht

Die Villa liegt an wunderbar ruhiger Lage mit schöner Aussicht auf die benachbarten Hügel und jetzt im Herbst meist über der Nebelgrenze. Zu siebt schätzten wir den vielen Platz drinnen und draussen und ganz besonders die drei Badezimmer. Das Haus ist überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht.

Perfektes Haus in schönster Umgebung

Wir sind eine Gruppe von 8 Rennradfahrern und haben im April 2016 Buzet/Sovinjak als Ausgangsort für unsere Touren ins bergige Hinterland Istriens gewählt. Erst nach erfolgter Buchung sind wir draufgekommen, dass Sovinjak knapp 300Hm über dem Mirnatal liegt - das heisst für Radfahrer die Kräfte gut einteilen, damit für den letzten Anstieg noch Reserven vorhanden sind :-) Die Anfahrt ist - Gott sei Dank - über unterschiedliche Routen mit verschiedenen Steigungen möglich. Das Haus mit seiner traumhaften Lage und Ausstattung war wie auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten. Genügend Platz in allen Räumen, ausreichende Anzahl an Bädern/Duschen/WCs für 8 Personen. Die Garage war bestens als Einstellraum für die Räder geeignet. Das Welcome-Package mit Schinken, Käse und Wein war eine nette Geste, hatte aber leider nur eine sehr geringe Lebenserwartung... Einziger, minimaler Kritikpunkt war der geringe Wasserdruck in der Dusche im oberen Stock. Die Konoba Santa Terra in Sovinjak wurde schnell zu unserem Stammlokal - obwohl "große Bier" überraschend schnell ausverkauft war. Gegessen haben wir in dem Lokal mehrmals und immer hervorragend. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch Smiljan und seine Frau war sehr nett und hilfsbereit - es hat an nichts gefehlt. Übernahme und Rückgabe der Villa erfolgten absolut problemlos. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, wir würden sofort wiederkommen!! Hans R. Clemens

Weihnachten im Casa Sienna......ein gelungenes Experiment

Obwohl Winter, empfing uns Istrien fast frühlingshaft mild. Wir wurden freundlich von Smilian, dem Verwalter mit Trüffelkäse und Schinken begrüßt .Das Haus ist geräumig, komfortabel ,gepflegt und sehr gemütlich im modernen Landhausstil eingerichtet.Jeder fühlte sich gleich wie zu Hause.Die Straße nach Sovinjak ist zwar etwas abenteuerlich, doch kein Hinderungsgrund Ausfüge in die wunderschöne Umgebung zu machen. Wir waren 8 Erwachsene und haben die Zeit im Casa Sienna sichtlich genossen.
