We had an incredible stay at the Hyatt Grand Vivid Island Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. Oscar, the bell boy, was especially kind and helpful with our bags, setting the tone for a great experience. We upgraded to the Vantage Club- and the rooftop pool is sooo dreamy, the drinks are stronger up there as well.
The dining options were varied and memorable. Francisco at the Mediterranean restaurant was wonderful. Oishii, Margarito, Carlos, and Daniel gave us fantastic service. Le Lys, Jesus and the manager went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. Aglio was just okay—food and service were fine, though our server seemed a little grumpy.
Vivid Bites was a highlight—the tamales, enchiladas, and drinks (especially the tamarind and horchata) were excellent, with great service all around. The Beach Club was another favorite: the fish tacos, beef tacos, and poke nachos were delicious, and the drinks hit the spot. Service can be a little slow when it’s super busy, but the staff always remained kind and attentive. If you love coffee, don’t miss the carancillio—it’s a treat!
The sound meditation was peaceful, especially in the serene space below the deck. The violinist at Amber Night was unbelievably talented, and the tarot reader added a special touch. At Vantage Bar, the drinks were a bit stronger than downstairs, but both spots were fun in their own way. The rooms were so comfy and clean we didnt wanna leave, we will be back!
