This was our second year at this resort. We loved it so much we came back with other friends this year. The first year there was flawless! This year not so much.
Many of the staff members were rude. This is especially prominent in the restaurants. We have a group of 9 people. I specifically asked the front desk how to book dinners for that large of a group (the app they want you to use doesn’t work for that). When I followed the instructions the restaurant staff refused to seat us together on one occasion, made a huge deal about it in a couple of other occasions, and one time made us use a private room where we had to promise to buy 1 to 2 bottle of wine… in our all inclusive resort.
The resort credits were not necessarily usable. Ther were a number of stipulations on them and how/when they can be used.
When a member of my group booked a massage (approximately $180) they told him on arrival to the spa that he would need to pay an extra $15 for the oil they needed to use for the massage.
I also found out that unless you are a vantage club member, you can’t officially use the rooftop pool. That is the single largest attraction to this resort, so please keep that in mind.
The food itself was great (when you can get service), the resort is clean and beautiful. Our excursions were AMAZING this year. It really just boiled down to the service and hassle they gave us for having a group of people. I noticed many others in the resort having the same issues.
