Beautiful overall, but the beach on the resort's property was full of dense kelp that made the water practically impossible to enjoy. Playa Tortuga is a short bus ride away and was lovely. The only food we ate in the resort was from their convenience store. Options were limited but decent. Restaurants across the street are pricey and mid. And the cusines inside the resort are limited.

Everything was great from the moment we arrived until our departure. Everyone at the hotel was very professional and with outstanding customer service. The restaurants, bar and pool were amazing. My son and wife loved it. We will definitely stay here on our next trip back.

The area was super clean, and as always, JW Marriott lives up to an outstanding service reputation. The bathrooms have updated designs and are very clean. However, when anyone uses the toilet, the sound is a loud echo. This is very embarrassing. The staff is extremely accommodating. The rooms are spacious, safe, clean, a nice selection of restaurants

The service at the hotel was excellent! This would be a nice hotel for a quick 3 night stay with your spouse. However, it is not suitable for children at all. The restaurants are too fancy. Hard to find a decent casual meal on property or even within walking distance of the property. The beach was awful. No kids activities or music on property. Very quiet hotel. Rooms do not accommodate a family well. Double beds are tiny, but they did bring a rollaway free of charge. We visited in July and the construction was a nuisance the entire trip.

We recently stayed at the JW Marriott in Cancun and, unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While we weren’t expecting a party scene, the resort was absolutely dead. There was hardly any atmosphere - barely any music, no energy, and just an overall lack of vibe. It felt more like an empty conference hotel than a relaxing beachfront resort. The food was disappointing, especially given how exorbitant the prices are. Nothing stood out - bland flavors, limited options, and nothing that justified the cost. The drinks were equally underwhelming, mediocre quality at best and again, way overpriced. The beach was a major letdown. It smelled terrible during our stay, and we found it pretty unpleasant to spend time there. Given that beachfront access is a huge part of why people come to Cancun, this was a huge strike against the experience. To be fair, we chose this resort knowing we’d be spending most of our time off-property doing excursions and exploring the area, so the lackluster resort itself didn’t completely ruin our trip. But if you're planning a more resort-centered vacation, I would not recommend staying here. You'll likely be bored, disappointed, and frustrated by the value you’re (not) getting.

Staff was friendly and very attentive. The property was very clean and maintained. I was disappointed with the beach and lack of cleaning of the sargassum. Perhaps nets could have been used to clear the beach near the property. All and all our visit was great and we enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful property, loved how quiet it was especially compared to the all inclusive properties. Amazing restaurants. Loved that there was room service and daily/nighly Optional cleanings of the room. I do wish there were chairs directly on the beach, there may have been but I didn’t ask.

This is a great property especially for the price! We felt spoiled by the staff at all the F&B outlets from the pool bar to the restaurants. They treated us like such VIPs (and we're not :))

Most of the people that worked there were very nice but we did encounter a server by the pool that was not too happy with the tip we gave him. We thought we were very generous with the tip we gave but I guess not. He’s attitude changed very quick and what made matters worse was that after he semi picked up he then decided to stare at us from a distance which make everything uncomfortable. After that we decided not to get food from the pool. The spa was very over priced and I wasn’t satisfied after it was done.
