Crystal Cancun is a great all inclusive resort for the family. Especially those with young children. This staff for friendly and the place was claim. The food was good but could improve. We purchased the all inclusive which also included drinks. The alcohol was definitely not top shelf. But the overall is experience was good. They have a great pool and one area has a swim up Bar. And the beach is absolutely stunning.

Here’s a revised version of your review, incorporating your experience of needing to move to a different hotel: --- I recently purchased a luxurious package at Cristal Cancun Hotel, but my experience was far from luxurious. The only aspect that resembled the pictures was the beautiful beach. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel did not meet expectations. We only stayed one night before deciding to move to a different hotel to enjoy our vacation as planned. The bedrooms are outdated, and the bathroom situation was particularly frustrating. After taking a shower, the water overflowed, making it impossible to use the toilet without stepping in a puddle. The buffet was another disappointment. I found it to be nearly empty, and despite waiting until 2 PM, nothing was replenished. It felt like a significant oversight for a hotel that claims to offer a premium experience. Additionally, the lobby was quite small and overcrowded, which made check-in a lengthy process. With only two staff members available to assist guests, the wait time was unnecessarily extended. Overall, I expected much more from my stay, and I would not recommend this hotel for those seeking a truly luxurious experience, aside from the lovely beach. Feel free to make any further adjustments!

This hotel is in a great beach location the staff is pretty nice. The food is good in the à la carte restaurants and ok in the am Buffett. There really isn’t any options out in the pool area. There isn’t any grills or anything that you could grab while you’re in the beach or pool area they also don’t have service to bring you. You could dry yourself off and go eat at the lunch buffet or go back to your room and order room service . The rooms are old/not remodeled -the beds were basically sitting on top of wooden sticks bases- that were peeling off from the corners. it’s not anything luxurious or nice as you would not expect for the price. They only had shampoo and body wash they did not have any conditioner container in the room that we stayed. The walls are not necessarily wiped well in the restroom the cleanliness is not thorough. The all inclusive indicates that there are certain brands of tequila included however every time we asked for traditional reposado they either did not have it at the lobby, Or if they did have it back in the pool bar then they said they were out for the day. As they do prefer for you to buy bottle service and reserve the Bali beds -if you do that then you could purchase food and they will serve you at the beach in the beds.Be prepared to tip well- we’re talking about more than five dollars or ten dollars each round since it seems like that is not enough anymore. The beach is beautiful but crowded and lots of outside peeps.

This hotel caters to locals and many of the staff members do not speak English. We had a 8th floor room, which had a nice view and AC worked good. Overall cleanliness was good. Nothing exciting about the restaurants. Very limited beach and pool chairs with shade. Hotel staff held us from leaving when our ride was there because they needed a “check out ticket” which wouldn’t have been a problem had we known that, but literally locked the door on us from leaving. We will never be returning here. Pay the extra money for a nicer resort.

Check in service took forever. We waited about an hour in line before we got our rooms. When we got to our rooms, it smelled bad and the mattresses were sinking and hard as a rock. The room was very old and outdated. The countertop in the bathroom was broken. We saw a cockroach in the room and the air condition froze us out since it just kept running past the set point. There was not much selection at the restaurants and food was terrible. Anything that was worth eating was an upcharge to their “all inclusive” package. The bartenders were really slow and they reused the plastic cups for drinks. I see they take the used cups and rinse and reuse them. That’s not very sanitary! Also, guest services presents you with a vip package and they tell you that you’re invited to a vip breakfast in the morning. There was no vip breakfast and they took us to the regular restaurant. The vip breakfast was nothing more than a pressured sales pitch to become a member of the their Eskape Club. We declined the membership after hearing the manager’s sales pitch and pricing. Then another senior manager came in and offered to discount it in half. After several refusals from us, he got irritated and mad and told us to leave and go downstairs. We only booked this hotel because of the good reviews and the pictures described on hotels.com website. It was a total disappointment as it should’ve be given a 1-2 star rating. I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone and definitely wouldn’t come back again!

A Good Place

The hotel’s location is truly excellent—it’s the best I’ve stayed at in Cancun. It’s close to all the nightlife attractions, near supermarkets, and the color of the sea is beautiful. Overall, the hotel is good, the food is good, but the rooms definitely need an update. The restaurant facilities are nice, but the rooms are in urgent need of renovation. They’re very old—old beds, old bathrooms, old furniture. The staff is generally okay. Half of them are very friendly, while the other half just seem like they don’t want to be there and treat you carelessly.

The service here is amazing the wait staff are amazing! Sergio is spectacular and was always so kind and hard working—- he made our visit so special! We tried drinks we never even heard of and he constantly made every visit to buffet so memorable. He is the best waiter we’ve ever had in our life. Lulu, our room cleaner left us amazing towel animals and really made the room amazingly special. This is our second time here and the experience was so special this time because of the staff. I will visit again just because of Sergio and Lulu. Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts!
