Awesome stay and a great location!

Beautifully decorated old wooden building with friendly staff, convenient rooms, and a great location if you're looking to down stuff near the Chiang Rai clocktower.

Located in a quiet back street very close to the Bus Station and the night bazaar. The room was excellent value for money and had everything I required.

Beneath what was advertized.

It was below average. The room was not like it was advertized. It was smaller, with broken/old cabinets. The refrigerator was not working. There was no space for clothes, we had to put our things on the floor. The bed was nice and cleen but the blanket given was very small. The balcony window could not be used as the outside was very dirty. The bathroom was too small and there was no door mat. So the rest of the floor got wet. The room was clean though and the staff cleaned it in time wiyh proper replacements but it was claustrophobic. The room looked very old and below the star status of the hotel. We had to leave our shoes downstairs aa they were not allowed upstairs. All in all an unsatisfactorily stay. I am not going to stay there again and certainly don't expect hotel.com to suggest such a misguided option again. Thanks.

The North Hotel is excellent value. It's close to the bus station, night market, lots of wonderful restaurants and it's inexpensive.

Start off going to the border crossing

Great Location a minute for the bus station which is great at only 50bts the night market is on your doorstep where there are two food areas one is Asia food and one is western the hotel is a little tried but clean but for £12 a night with A/c and the first hotel in seven weeks to have hot water in the sink

close to the morning bus to Laos

The hotel lobby has a very nice atmosphere and from that, I was expecting a bit more. I have to point out that I've reserved the 4 bed dormitory, so maybe the private rooms are better. The dormitory was very basic (not even individual lights in each bed) and the beds not that comfortable. The dorm that I was in had no door key, meaning that the door would always be open. I did ask for a key but the staff said that there was none. The worst aspect was the low quality of the windows, meaning that a lot of noise would come in at night, from outside. At least during my stay, it was a lot of noise (perhaps some party was going on; not sure).

the room is very small and cramped...you are always just shuffling around the bed..bathroom is ok good water pressure but has central hot water...i prefer in bathroom water heater. i guess ok for the money but because of size very cramped it isnt comfortable

Excellent stay

This boutique hotel is tucked away on a short street less than two blocks from the bus terminal and half block from a lively market. The staff speaks some English and is welcoming and helpful. My room was spacious, with aircon, fridge, desk, really fats WiFi,comfortable futon-style bed, small balcony, compact well-designed bathroom with rainwater shower head and all bath amenities. Lighting fixtures are inset and provide excellent illumination. Parquet floors. Area to hang clothes. Amazingly priced the same as rooms that are not nearly as good. American breakfast available. Close to local shops selling great Thai food. Temples all within an easy walk. First floor has spacious partly open air lounge with floral gardens, table and chairs, and massage bench.

Very close to bus station and night bazaar.

Very close to bus station. Had a double room with AC and private bath for around SGD19 and was fine. Reception is ok but could answer most question around Chiang Rai. There were some family and relative chatting in the reception area and makes it feel like a guest house

Great choice of stay at an ideal location

A great choice: home away from home. Good and wide selections of local foods and coffee just within half a minute walk. Serene balcony suited for relaxation, meditation or reading. Hotel staff super attentive, friendly and professional. Service is top notch. Can't ask for more. Thank you!
