The Whitehall Hotel is in a very convenient location—just a short walk to the Red Line (Chicago–Chicago Station) and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is old but has been renovated, and it’s comfortable enough for a couple of nights.
The staff were helpful whenever I needed something, which I appreciated.
The breakfast, however, was disappointing. The options were basic (eggs, bacon, cereal, potatoes), but the quality wasn’t great. The bread and croissants seemed stale, and everything was overly greasy. I couldn’t even find simple sliced bread or butter.
Overall, the hotel works well for a short stay if location is your priority, but don’t expect much from the breakfast.
