We loved our stay! There are parts of these older rooms that I wish they’d updated! Particularly, the bathroom is fine but un-updated. Also, the light over the sinks need to be done away with. It was difficult to do our makeup under that dimmer light! Only other thing is the lack of a mini-fridge! That would make a huge difference! We would have liked to have kept our drinks cold and to have kept left overs from our dinners! Otherwise, the staff was kind and the rooms are very clean! Location is right near transportation and the freeway is super close! You can get where you’re going with little effort!

Our family of two adults & two teens stayed one night. The room was pretty small but the beds were comfortable. The decor & theme of the hotel is cute & they have a cafe with arcade games connected to the office. We appreciated having a breakfast spot right across from our room. The young lady at the cafe was great & hardworking! This would be a great budget stay for a family with young kids. They have pool & bikes that they lend out. The location has plenty of bike trails nearby & was convenient to Balboa Park & other San Diego local attractions.

It serves the purpose, clean bed and restrooms. There is no extra niceties like microwave, iron etc… Obviously not necessary when making a pit stop to rest.

Stayed 1 night. Very cute motel with fun retro decor! Really great direct tv service; lots of channels to watch. I felt safe the entire time I was here and all the staff are very friendly. I like that there is a cafe attached to the building. This made it easy to grab a quick bite. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

Loved it!

We loved the "chill" vibes! Very clean with comfortable beds and quiet rooms. They even provided us with cruiser bikes to ride on the trails which are close by. Thank you Rambler staff for the great hospitality!

Great stay for the whole family!

The Rambler was a great spot for my family for the start of our spring break road trip. The rooms are comfy and the downstairs lobby with arcade and a cafe was fun for everyone. We even enjoyed hanging out in the pool area. A great find for all ages!
