We loved our stay at this small boutique hotel. The location was perfect and so close to all we wanted to see. The rooms were very nice and the staff incredibly courteous & professional. The breakfast was lovely with many choices both hot and cold, a special thanks to Joau who was always present at breakfast and very helpful. Highly recommend this location, excellent value for the price.

Pleasant one-night stay in Coimbra.

Very pleasant stay. 8pm check-in went smoothly; parking garage one block away (19 euros for 24 hours). (Train station was also 1 block away.) Room was clean and comfortable. Very good bacalhua restaurant was less than a block away for our dinner after late arrival. Included breakfast was very good. They stored our bags after checkout as we toured the Old Town. Service was friendly and professional throughout. Would stay here again.

Fantastic stay in Coimbra

The hotel was exceptional with a very friendly staff. Very MODERN and excellent location. I would recommend to anyone. My wife and I especially loved the coversation with the beautiful young bar attendant (Ennis) on the 4th floor. It was a rainy cool evening, we talked for hours, She was very informative about every thing in Portugal. Use Uber for everything, cheap and reliable used to go up to the university and bus stop. (Uber up, walk back down)

The staff at the Hotel Mondego worked very hard to make us feel welcome. We asked for directions, dinner suggestions and tour advice and they always had a ready answer and a smile. Loved the location in Coimbra, as well as our third floor room with a balcony view of the river. We had a wonderful stay!

Solid place to stay and good value for money. Staff are nice and efficient. Location is convenient next to the train station and within 5 minute walk to the pedestrian drag. However, rooms overlooking the street can get a little noisy and my room was also next to an elevator that kept pinging late into the night. Firm pillows were not to my taste. Would stay here again.

Solid, clean and nice 3-Star Hotel. Nothing to complain about. Nice service already via telephone. Bar at the rooftop, rather small but nice view. All new and clean. Style rather wanna be chic but ok. Rooms Basic but nice. Beds big but quite hard. Depends what you favor.
