We were upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel with view of the Liston. Our room had floor to ceiling windows (left one did not open) with shutters and a balcony - for standing not sitting. Very high ceiling in this historic building so there was a mezzanine floor to bedroom & bathroom up wooden stairs. This was unique and ok, though ideally, we would have preferred not to have to climb stairs to bed or toilet. From the hotel information, we had assumed breakfast would be served on the rooftop terrace. This was not the case. In fact, the only access to the restaurant was with a dinner reservation and even guests staying overnight could not access the rooftop unless dining. We did choose to dine at the hotel and had good food and a good table to take in the exceptional views. The rooftop terrace is an ace and worth having access. However, if this is being advertised as a key feature, please make clear conditions for access. I feel most guests would expect access to what appear to be communal areas.

Great location. Good selection for breakfast and lovely roof terrace. It is a traditional hotel but could be upgraded in places. Couldnt close the door on shower as so small, but not really a problem. The staff were the best, all very helpful and friendly. Would return.

This hotel gets an excellent 5 star review from me for a few reasons. It is a classic old hotel. The location is terrific and the view from the rooftop restaurant/bar is utterly unmatched. If you stay here, eat or at least have a drink on the roof. You won't regret it. All that said, the hotel could use a bit of refreshing. The rooms look a bit old. The breakfast was ok. The three guys in ties buzzing around were a bit unnecessary. It's a buffet. But, big picture, this is a hotel worth staying at.

A small but very pleasant hotel. The staff is excellent, very helpful. Fantastic location, at the edge of the Splanada square. Three minutes' walk to the Old Fortress and no more than ten minutes' walk to any place in the Old Town. As for dining options, once you step out of the hotel you cannot toss a rock without hitting a restaurant:-) . Also, the rooftop restaurant/bar of the hotel is a gem. Rooms are rather small, but then who's coming to Corfu in order to sit in his hotel room. Overall, a great option for exploring Corfu.

Excellent stay, but rather spoilt by the imposition on check out of what is called a “resilience tax” of 10 euros per day - what feels like legalised theft. Not the fault of the hotel (although the Cavalieri is 4-star so shouldn’t this be 7 euros per day??), but they should know it leaves an unpleasant feeling on departure!

Every time I come to stay at my home in Corfu, I always spend s few nights at the Cavalieri. Why? Fabulous location about a two minute walk to Liston, beautiful views of the sea and the old fortress, attentive and fast front desk, check in any time 24 hours a day, clean room,fabulous breakfast always fresh and abundant., yes, all that, but most of all, staff who genuinely care and want to do a good job, and the feeling of being one of the family. This is old-world elegance. Thanks to all of you for giving me and my family/friends such a beautiful experience. See you soon!

Hotel was in a wonderful location with a lovely view. It was easy to walk to sites, shops and restaurants and the staff is very attentive. The vibe is more “grandma’s house” than historic gem, but we had a nice stay!

Great hotel but bad music

Convenient and well run. Good breakfast. Nice pool but dreadful music around. Didn’t match the demographic of the clients at all and was intrusive. Please stop doing this; I want peace on my holiday not someone else’s choice of music
