The villa dates back to 1500 and has been transformed over the centuries according to the most refined and conservative canons of the rural tradition of Cortona and Tuscany. The property is entirely in stone and brick and is on two levels connected by an external staircase, also in stone. The surrounding environment is characterized by fields cultivated with wheat and sunflowers, with country walkable roads walkable or for amazing bike rides for relaxing moments immersed in the colors and scents of the Tuscan countryside.

It can comfortably accommodate 16 people and has high chairs and cots (also on request). Originally divided into apartments Villa il Gelso is currently rented as an exclusive block, but still retains a subdivision that allows both families and groups of friends to spend a stay all together but at the same time allowing the various groups to have their independence. It has 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and a large fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor with living room that will become the meeting place of the whole group in the name of conviviality.
