The hotel at Tru Hotel Destin was horrible. Beds were like sleeping on a block of bricks, super hard and horrible. Front desk never cared as first day said they would call after talking to hotel manager, never called. Each day tried to get a solution hotel front seak disnt care, evwn one cleek said they dis not undwratand why I was complaining because thwy have has so many gueat who wantes to know where tehy bought theor mattresses because they wanted one; sorry dont buy it. Noone as much as I was ar front desk said they gor a good nights sleep. Another guy was down asking for pillows to try and get comdoerable from the bed. The nreakfast was same thing wbwey morning sausage, eggs, toast, oatmeal, pancake, waffles. Nevwr a change of meats and no fruit. No coffee makera ir microwave in room.morninf xoffee muat get dresses and go to lobby same for jeating up any foood or making popcorn. The good thing I can say was lobby had actocitoes for kids. Next ro that my neat stay was when I left amd finally got a good night sleep. To pay over $500 for a 4 nihht was veey high price to pay for a back ache especially since I had not had any back problems before sleeping on Tru hotels brick bed.

Breakfast is good and they have options for everyone. The staff is friendly. The location is amazing is amongst everything. Very short driving and the proximity to beach was great. Issue was when checking in they tried to give our room away even after having booked two months prior. They stated they gave us a “complementary” upgrade.The were out of the king suites and they overbooked so they gave our room to someone else and gave us a room that they couldn’t sell. I eventually was able to get my proper room after complaining and waiting. The room didn’t even have a wall mirror it was taken off the wall. The walls do have some scratches. Not the best hotel it if you get a good rate its a good hotel as long as you don’t overpay.

They had a full well balanced breakfast. The omelettes are amazing. The rooms are impeccably clean. The location is amazing because it’s across from a Walmart and a shopping center. And right next to the beach. It is absolutely wonderful.
