Spacious room included a large couch and refrigerator. The breakfast that was included had many healthy choices. Hotel is located on the edge of downtown Royal oak.

The room was comfortable, perfect condition, and spotless! Comfortable bed, hot shower. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very quiet. I don’t think the hotel was very busy, but we were directly across from the fitness room and I was concerned about noise - we didn’t hear a thing and someone was exercising when we got up. Some reviews complained about the breakfast. I’m picky, but as far as included/free breakfasts go, this was one of the best that I’ve had: scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon (crumbled to use as a topping/filling for breakfast burritos). Hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and yogurt. Variety of cereal, French toast sticks, several juices, breads/toaster, and a variety of milk options including oat. And, the dining area and food bar were very clean - what more could you ask for! Parking was right behind the building and easy. Walking distance to a number of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here about 8-10 times and on different floors and different rooms. The water in the shower takes 20 minutes to start to get warm. It is not ideal. The water in the sink never seems to get warm let alone never hot. I live the beds and the shades and get a good night’s sleep but the water situation is enough that we stay at a hotel down the road 90% of the time we stay in Royal Oak. Each time we stay at the Hyatt Place we remember why we tend to not stay here: the water. We travel to Royal AoAk about once a month so it is unfortunate.
