Overall hotel was good service and cleansliness of the room was fantastic although when we returned to the hotel room, our personal belongings in the suitcase had been folded although this seemed like a nice thing to do i didnt appreciate the fact the staff went into my belongings.

The room was much smaller than expected. The smallest room I have ever stayed in, more prison than hotel. Only stay as a last resort to be close to the airport.

Good value but loud

As the name goes budget this place is great value for money. However, I caution you that guests are very loud, the floors and walls are thin. I don’t blame the hotel for the noise from guests but something worth considering when you are thinking about the Ibis Budget. It’s close to the tram for traveling into Edinburgh.

We booked a twin room however the room was not as expected. The shower was in the room itself and the toilet door was more like a wardrobe door, so there was no real privacy. It is a £5 fee for parking for 24 hours, so given that and the room layout/design, I probably wouldn’t stay more than one night. But it does what it says on the tin and was ideal for a stopover for the night.
