Overall was average, but we kind of knew what to expect. Nothing too bad. The positive was the size of the family room. It was really spacious. Downsides were the bunk beds were next to the lift shaft which was a little noisy and the room had no air con and it was a bit warm.

Nice hotel, until we recieved the bill.

Check-in was good, room fine, evening restaurant service was poor, thankfully no service charge on our bill as the service was well below expected standards for a hotel in Edinburgh. On check out our hotel the receipt for our 1 night stay with no breakfast was £184.05, however Hotels.com had charged us £209.70? So when question on their App, they told us to ignore the hotel receipt, this was what they they paid for block booking rooms, so Hotel.com took £25.65 commission, so i will be booking directly with hotel's in future. This price is before the Edinburgh festive starts in August, expect to pay substantially more then for a 3 star.

The floor creaks! If someone above you gets up early in the morning You'll hear every single step, the noise will definitely wake you up. Room hot, open windows no help at all . The room is clean and staff friendly. Nice pool and gym

Booked this hotel with a last minute trip to Edinburgh. Pictures aren't completely acccurate. Initial room was smaller than advertised, was able to move to a larger room. Safe in room was broken, was not fixed during our stay. Room was right by hallway door so loud at night. Pool and gym is shared by hotel guests and members. Pool area is not as nice as the pictures, is a bit worn down. Restaurant was really good, clean and good food. Gluten free options available. I booked this hotel as it looked like a good location outside of the city, close to the zoo and greenspace. The hotel has been reno'd but not as advertised as per the pictures on the website. It was an ok trip but I would stay somewhere else if I knew the conditions of the hotel.

Unfortunately, a bad experience - a party in an event room directly below our room had the pounding bass of a live band until after 11pm, then more music until well after midnight. Tried to call reception twice to find out when it was scheduled to stop, and no-one picked up either time. Went down to reception, and the person there had no idea about the event or when it would end. Room was incredibly hot, and breakfast was pretty disorganized - no glasses, no cutlery and it seemed like there was too few staff to deal with a full room. We won’t be staying in a Leonardo hotel again.

Will never stay at this hotel again. Corridors were not cleared of plates of food and drinks outside rooms and was dark and had a smell of either damp or mould. Room was basic and cost £400 for 1 night. Very overpriced for minimal facilities. Breakfast was poor, staff interaction nil. Advertising as Murrayfield but turns out it’s just under 3 miles from the stadium. Be wary if going to a concert/rugby match as you need to get a taxi to town centre or stadium.
