Not being familiar with Ft Lauderdale, we took a chance with the location of this hotel. The area around it felt unsafe, cars racing and playing loud music. Sirens through the night, etc. Neat time we will do more research and not assume that because a hotel is a certain brand, it is in a good, safe location. Front desk staff was very nice.

Several restaurants and a grocery store are within walkable distance, and the staff was very helpful! The hotel was very clean and in great condition. I would definitely stay here again!
