Pros: 1. The room was spacious, with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen and a futon in the main area. Lots of room for our family of 5. 2. Steps from the beach! Location was fantastic. 3. Price was reasonable. Cons: 1. It was a little confusing checking in, as the check in was about a block away from the room and the instructions given at check-in did not match where we eventually found the room. 2. The room was run down and could have been cleaner. Broken cupboards, the king bed was one flop away from crashing to the floor, the floor was quite dirty. 3. After booking a place that said it included a kitchen, we expected basic amenities. There were no dishes, cookware or anything. You could call the office for a box to be delivered to you. 4. The front desk is always slammed. The lady working tried her best, and was friendly and helpful. But having so many different properties tied to a single check-in/check-out point made for long lines and wait times. Overall, I would recommend staying here if you just want an afforable place big enough for your family that is very close to the beach and you don't mind things being a bit run down.

THIS IS NOT A FOUR STARS PROPERTY! Staff is uninterested (except for the weekday morning manager gentleman, he is kind and helpful). On weekends, obtaining beach towels is literally impossible, but they will try to sell you some instead! Check in is only at 4 pm: you'll be queuing for over an hour to get your key by someone that looks extremely inconvenienced by your existence. Good luck retrieving your luggage if you had it stored earlier that day. The breakfast is TERRIBLE, but the rudeness and aggressiveness of the breakfast lady truly seals the deal. Imagine having to justify grabbing 3 cinnamon rolls (family of 3), since they are the only edible option. Upon arrival, the tv, the stove and the oven were not working. We had to continue asking for towels as they only give 2 at the time, to a family of 3. Any basic hotel necessities that are advertised as provided (beach towels/clean towels/soap/toilet paper/kitchen supplies) require an extra trip to the reception, or seven. The grounds are unkept, the vibe of the place is cheap and 'low-cost everything. The pools are scattered across the properties, some are sadder than others. The overall vibe is a crappy 1 star motel, shame for advertising as a four stars. On The positive side, the location is central to many activities, right on the boardwalk and a beautiful beach. This property could have a total different feeling if management tried to run it better

This place was absolutely disgusting, no refunds, I took one look at the shower from the 1950’s and my family and I took off. The shower is what grossed my family and I out the most. It was disgusting. Run. Run far away. What a waste of money!! We booked a different hotel that night and just learned to never go to a hotel we didn’t know again. Don’t waste your money here. If you do, at least wear shower shoes. Yuck!!! No refunds, you have to pay for parking, and extremely outdated. Location is awesome. If they would just spend some of that money they make on renovating the place and completely gutting and remodeling that bathroom it would be a great place.

I stayed 4 different times on the several properties in the area that HBH owns. Other than the resort fee, I was never charged for parking before. James the person on duty at check in, was extremely unpleasant , and should not be working directly with customers. I witnessed him being rude at a different visit with customers as well. This will be my last time I would stay at any of the HBH group hotels. The room smells like chemicals. The air condition units is very loud.

Hollywood Beach

I have been coming to this place for several years now. Its become my family's vacation spot. Angel Sea is part of the Hollywood Beach Hotels (HBH). These comfortable suites are situated just a couple of feet away from the boardwalk and beach. They also share bbq areas, pools abd offer a discount at the cycle shop on the boardwalk. The rooms are clean and spacious, some having fantastic views of the area. The service was good and friendly, getting to know some employees by nicknames: the handyman was Cuba, the Breakfast Lady ( in charge of the free continental breakfast offered every morning), and Maria, Nicaragua and Venezuela from the front desk. Also, their parking is much cheaper than the public parking offered by the city. Don't forget to use their beach towels, your deposit is refunded. Well situated as its at walking distance from Margaritaville free concerts and other area eateries, stores and sports rental /tours. Great place, great value, will be returning.
