This is a great place to stay. Nice and quiet with the best Italian restaurant next door. There is also a grocery store near by and a very nice lake to take walks around. The staff go above and beyond. The breakfast is wonderful. Book it!

Parking seems to bit problematic when all guests arrive with cars. That said, during the check in, the person whole helped us was extremely coorperative with finding us a solution. This was a great help. We definitely come back on our frequent trips back home.

Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointe

I'd give this 4/10 at best. Staff are nice the hotel is a 2-star really, not a 3 star. Breakfast offering is poor and doesn't cater for the British, lack of air con on hot weather is an issue. They have fans but one receptionist told me they didn't. Not a great part of town to stay in with quite a bit of noise from the shop below. My headline says it all really.

We didn’t stay. Took one look at the room and left. Dingy, cracked linoleum, horrible parking situation, nothing to recommend. Left less than 30 minutes after checking in. No refund per policy but could have offered one night pay, one night refund. Adamantly refuses per policy. OK. But I was NOT staying there.

Perfect neighborhood B & B, mostly business guests

The people who run this small hotel are extraordinarily helpful with information and welcome. Everything is minimalistic, including the small artful cartoons on the wall. It is small and simple. It is clean. It is run well, from the heart. There is a tiny convenience store next door and small restaurants nearby. A perfect neighborhood bed and breakfast.

Good location and great staff

We recently stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is located a couple of miles outside the town centre in a mainly residential area (handy supermarket next door and a nice Italian restaurant very close). A real positive is that the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the tram stop with a regular service into the town on line 1 which takes 10 minutes and is very easy to use. The hotel staff on the front desk were very pleasant and couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfasts were also of a good standard with plenty of variety. Our room on the 1st floor was at the back of the hotel and overlooked a school playground. The room itself had a nice modern bathroom and the metal shutters ensured enjoyed a good level of privacy and sleep quality. Our only criticism of the room would the slightly dated appearance and lack of a carpet (Lino tiles I think). Overall though, for the price and excellent staff, we would recommend the horel

The room was suitable for the price and the staff was wonderful. The hotel is situated a short walk to the bus which is a 10 minute ride to the center. The parking is gated and secure.

A very pleasant place

The Hotel is not in the centre of the town and the area does not look like amazing as the town itself. However, it is quite, very easy to reach (tram runs very often and takes you into the centre in a few minutes. It is not very cheap (each trip 2,00 euros) but I suppose it corresponds to the average. A few shops and a restaurant very close to the Hotel. Service, kindness in the Hotel are remarkable. I do recommend both for people travelling for business and for leisure.

EXCELLENT VALUE NEAR TO FREIBURG CENTRE

This was one of the best value hotels I have stayed in. Quiet residential location with regular tram service nearby to Freiburg centre, only about ten minutes away. One of the stops between is Freiburg rail and bus station, with rail services all over Germany and to Switzerland. Bus service to Basel airport in an hour. Ample variety breakfast in clean large room. Good Supermarket and Italian restaurant next door. Rooms very clean. All staff very helpful. Free internet at Reception with free mulled wine, chocolates and nuts during Christmas 2017. Champagne with New Year Breakfast. Reception not manned 24 hours but keys provided. Free Wi-Fi.

Nice hotel, amazing staff

I went to Freiburg to meet up with Family. Unfortunately their flight out of the US was delayed 2 days (never fly Condor airlines). The hotel staff was amazing at working with us changing the room situation and didn't charge my family for the days they had to cancel even though they could have based on the cancellation policy. When my family finally did arrive, they had requested a triple room but there wasn't one available. No problem, the staff made a double room into a triple. The staff were all amazing and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to others. They took a very bad experience and made it a bit better.

Friendly staff and quiet neighborhood

The hotel is right next door to a great Italian restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to a train stop that will take you into downtown. The rooms were very clean and the hotel offers a great buffet breakfast. Definitely worth a stay!

Friberg is well worth visiting

Our first trip to Friberg and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back again. Hotel was comfortable and clean and staff very helpful. The restaurant next door was good and looked after us well during our stay.

Very convenient

We stayed for one night on our road trip through Germany and this hotel was reasonably easy to find and had car parking. Staff were very informative and helpful in spoken English. The Hotel and room was clean, tidy and very modern in appearance. Free WiFi. Good breakfast. Local shops, restaurant and the tram stop to the town conveniently located nearby.
