Dirty, smelly, full of flies

I was so disappointed in this hotel. I didn't expect anything fancy because it was an affordable hotel but I did expect it to be clean. The room was filthy, dead and live bugs everywhere, disgusting curtains that were nearly falling off the track. The microwave smelled and was clearly not clean. There was an infestation of drain flies that lingered in the bathroom and near our food. Most disturbing, our room door was incredibly difficult to shut. Had to slam it Hard when leaving to insure it locked. I did not feel totally safe with young kids. Also the pool was disgusting!!! So cloudy you couldn't see your feet, full of bugs and hair. Tons of smokers throughout the hotel so you could smell it at all times outdoors. I would never recommend or stay here again.

Elevator floor and hallway outside elevator had dead bugs and spiderwebs. Windows by elevator extremely dirty. Smoking is allowed on balconies outside the rooms. Heavy smokers next-door so every time I opened my door smoke entered my room. Pool was so cloudy. You could not see the bottom and pool area was littered.

The stay was very bad

My room was wrong restaurant had no food now room smell like meldow floor out side carpet was always wet from the air conditioner all most slip 3 times going into the room because of the outdoor carpet that smells they were rude and did not care. I would like my refund back. I did pay for the insurance so I like my refund back. And a phone call 3343808022. I am going to try to stop all charges

Hydrofest weekend. It was still quiet. We were on the lake side. Beautiful views. Complimentary breakfast was great. Guntersville is a very very country town. They just happen to have one of the best lakes in Alabama in the middle of it. Wyndham staff was awesome. Everyone was friendly & helpful.

Great Place on the Lake

Wonderful place to stay on the lake with great views! Lots of places to sit outside and relax or fish on the pier. The free breakfast buffet was amazing, best I’ve had from hotel. Great location close to everything on the south side of Guntersville Lake! Definitely would stay again.

The room felt cold and clammy and in need of updating. There were stains on the ceiling and the curtains wouldn't close all the way. I went to the on property restaurant and after waiting at a table for about 10 minutes I left because staff never came.

Enjoyable stay with the exception of breakfast

My room had recently been renovated so it was in excellent condition. Full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion was a nice surprise. I didn’t even have to unpack mine. Pay the up charge for Lakeside not only a much better view, but quieter than the parking lot side. Breakfast was lacking the usual variety of most hotels…no cereals, bagels, toast, etc.
