This property was sold to me as a 4 1/2 star property. We arrived at the property at 7 PM. It took half an hour to check us in with only about six guests in front of us. We ate at the restaurant and from the time we ordered it took an hour to get food. The food arrived as though it has been sitting under a heater for quite a long time. It was not a complicated order. It was two burgers, spaghetti, and chicken fingers. The waitress was nice, but they seemed very understaffed. Our room had hair wads in all of the corners of the bathroom corners and something left over in the sink that looked a lot like snot. Maybe this would be a two star hotel but it is definitely not a 4 1/2 star hotel. Very disappointing.

Property was undergoing a renovation, some amenities not available for use. Did not receive room housekeeping, even though I specifically I unchecked the box at check in saying I agree to not have housekeeping. No complimentary water in room as the hotel brochure states. Rooms could use a little updating. The lobby was nicely decorated, but the coffee machine in the lobby was broken. Was only able to provide one key at checkin. Nice gift shop and the self check was convenient.

The room that we picked on line pictured a different bathroom layout. That was disappointing. The floors were dirty and the sheets were itchy. Stayed here before and had a wonderful time. Not worth the price now. Will stay somewhere else next time.

From the start it was a bad experience. When I tried to check in at 12:30pm there were no rooms available for early check-in. I came back at 3:47pm to check in again, and they wanted to charge me $35 for early check-in when check-in is at 4pm. So I had to wait in my car for 13 min to check back in again. When I got to my room, it was disgusting. The floors were filthy and there were towels, wet clothes, and trash under the furniture. The front staff was not very friendly or accommodating. The bar and restaurant service was really slow on the Sunday night I stayed there. At midnight on one of the nights I stayed, our phone rang once and hung up and we could not go back to sleep. Overall, the amenities were great, but the hotel itself was a headache.

Check-in staff pretended not to know what we booked for the stay. Premium King was chosen and we were given a room with a queen bed and a bunk bed. She stated that it was a double queen. We had to call the front desk to request for a change in room because of the above. the front desk again said that the room was really bigger and should have a queen size bed????? And it should be better! What the heck for an excuse. Not a good impression provided! In addition, I stated that I included a breakfast payment and she stated it wasn't part of the reservation and eventually realized that it was.

Beautiful location and beautiful room. Room was very large and comfortable. Hotel has an excellent restaurant and wonderful amenities. Even provides smores at night for their guests. Highly recommend.
