With 13 rooms. Only 2 Wc/Shower. One was very small, old, didn't even have proper hooks to hang clothes. Shower didn't drain properly. You were always in 3 " of water from start to finish.

The hotel and rooms are very basic but it was still quite pricey although there were hardly any other guests. It seems as though the owners are still only part way through renovating it.
The location is beautiful & very peaceful.
Breakfast was minimal but we had a good dinner the night before about 30 minutes away in Hvammstangi at Sjavarborg restaurant.
Very nice stay here, staff were super nice. We didnt have the evening meal, but they did offer several options. Breakfast was basic, however staff had other options to add upon request, (scramble some eggs etc)without extra cost as well which was nice!
Lovely place. Incredibly quiet and isolated (in a good way). Great building - interesting history with original features. Very comfortable and friendly stay. Many thanks.
We had a wonderful stay. It was very quiet and close to the sites we wanted to see. Good dinner menu with a nice range of options - the lasagne was delicious!
Great stop if you’re driving the ring road and don’t want to do Reykjavik to Akureyri in 1 day! We were the first to arrive for the night so we were a little worried because it didn’t look open from the road but once inside, it’s clean, cozy and the views are great—Open/dark skies for northern lights viewing close to a beautiful black sand beach! Would definitely stay again!
The check in was a breeze. Happy Hour was great. The dinner selection was good and tasty food!! The morning breakfast buffet was a delight as well!! Very friendly staff!

The property was fine to stay for one night but the shower and room were very basic, even for Icelandic standards. It felt and looked like staying in a dormitory.
My biggest complaint was the lack of, essentially no communication when I had sent several messages to the websites and tried calling prior to our arrival and there was no response for days. However the problem did get resolved when arriving a day earlier but it would’ve been nice to have better communication.
Hotel is in suburb area, nothing around or near by . stayed one night because of no other choices. Room is clean but tiny, share bathroom clean but not convenient. Be careful with this hotel , I reserved the room 1 night (May 24) with a credit card choosing pay at the hotel. When I checked in, I used a different credit card to pay for the room. When I returned home, they double charged me on 2 different credit cards. The double charge even on the day I already left Iceland
(May 28) . This hotel scams people by double charges and if you don’t pay atttetion you will end up paying them twice.
Clean, warm, and quiet with very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast selection with fresh made waffle batter and freshly baked bread. Also is located right next to a horse farm! Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area
Simple, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms in a beautiful and remote location (unpaved road). The breakfast was superb and the host was unusually helpful.
It was a solid place to stay. The reason minus one star - the drive to get there is not for all drivers, as it is an unpaved road. We did it in the rain, and our car was nearly covered in road dirt from head to toe from all the potholes we drove - around 16km from Hwy 1, if you take the shorter route, on 717 - if you take 711, it is a much longer route.
The hosts and the guesthouse were great. We would love for all to be as they were. A testament to why people love to visit Iceland - the people here are very gracious and do all they can to be helpful.

It’s a relatively long drive on gravel roads to get here. For positives, they have the friendliest staff ever who provided great recommendations for things to do in the area and their breakfast was great. The room was also quite big! On the downside, the shower water was freezing, and the curtains didn’t fully cover windows, and the beds were quite uncomfortable.
Some of the descriptions were a little misleading. There is NO restaurant on site except for breakfast. And when they say there are other restaurants in town they mean 20 to 30 kilometers away. If we'd known that we could have planned better and would have given a higher rating.
It's a good place to be isolated. Maybe in winter will be ideal to see the northern lights.
The road to get there is not paved, so it takes longer than the calculated route. Showers and toilets are shared. Includes complimentary breakfast
