The only negative was the amount of noise you can hear from the room next door and on the floor.

After an airline cancellation made my entire trip null and void, I did not have the opportunity to stay in Idaho after all. My reason for the five stars was I booked this hotel “nonrefundable” and they went above and beyond to accommodate conditions out of my control whereas other properties I had booked for the same vacation week refused refunds on unused reservations. This amount of customer courtesy was so important to this disabled veteran on a fixed income, as it allowed me to recover some expenses from the trip for services I did not even get to receive. I highly recommend Tru and the Hilton family of hotels in general, but this one especially for their understanding and compassion.

Nice Stay, better professional/safety training?

Arrived at Tru around midnight. Front desk guy was cheery, didn't ask for a name, and just asked for my ID. He proceeded to tell me they didn't have a reservation under my name (thought middle was my last, easy fix). Found the reservation, and proceeds to offer only 1 pet fee (vs. 2) in trade for a good review. "Sure, no problem," I said, and was appreciative of the offer. This is where things got weird. While checking in, another guest entered the lobby and approached the desk for check in. Front desk looks up, greets other guest & says he will help him in a moment. Other guest overhears I have dogs, and asks where they are. I reply my husband was parking and would be in shortly. Keep in mind, we're standing at least 3-5' apart. Not sure if front desk didn't understand that other guest was only making friendly convo (FrDesk had an earbud in) but proceeds to hand my keys to the other guest after simply assuming we were traveling together. Luckily, other guest was just as shocked; he denied the keys, pointed to me, and reminded FrDesk that he was checking in on his own. Had I have been traveling alone, would've demanded another room after knowing other guest saw my room #. The lack of professionalism & attention to detail was incredibly off-putting. OTHERWISE, Tru was a great place to stop for the night. Newer build, incredibly clean, working thermostat, and very comfy! Sheet+blanket combo were really thin and no spare blankets/fleece were available in-suite.

Hotel staff was friendly upon check-in. Unfortunately when I drew back the sheets before climbing into bed I found hair and lint balls. The front desk said they could move me to a new room or send housekeeping with new sheets. I chose new sheets and a maintenance man came to the room with a new set of sheets leaving me to strip the bed and remake it. The breakfast was underwhelming, and the pancake machine was difficult to use. Watched a staff member giggle at the struggling guests as she walked past rather than offering help.

Bad experience

Oir firsy time traveling with a pet. We get to our room and the floor wasnt swept, had dog hair and othwr itema left on floor. Their was hair stuck in the comforter and on bed sheets. I understand having certain rooms for pets, but it doesn't mean leave the hair from prior pet stay in the room.

Awesome Location

Atmosphere and location were spot on. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and updated. Highly recommend this hotel.

There was a $75 non-refundable fee for a pet, which is almost 3x as much as other hotels/motels. When I asked staff why it was so expensive, he said it was because they shampooed the carpet after every customer. Here's the thing though, THERE WAS NO CARPET. The room had linoleum floor. When I mentioned this to staff later, he just stared blankly at me. Gave zero fs So annoying that I had to pay $84.75 in addition to the $188 that I paid for one night. If I wanted to pay damn near $300 for a room for one night I would've booked a 4 star hotel, not some bootleg, Ross version of a hotel. Trash.
