This feels like accommodation for skiers. In the summer it’s dark and rather unwelcoming. The staff were ok. Lots of stuff needed fixing which they did. But not with a smile. The rooms are spacious and having a kitchen area is nice especially as the local amenities are so limited.

This family is definitely coming back!

A wonderful family experience for our Yosemite trip! We had the family 2-bedroom with kitchenette that was airy and refreshing with *gorgeous* lake views from every room. The kitchen was very well appointed (even had a cuisinart!) and we even grilled steaks on the available property grill :). The sofa bed was comfortable for my teen without the usual lumps or ickiness I have found in other establishments. Hot tub was great, as well as the family game room with billiards and ping pong. They even have 10% off deals with multiple eating places (btw, the New Zealand meat pies are amazing). The general manager and staff were particularly warm and helpful throughout our stay -- really good people.

Disrespectful and lack of communication

The hotel was involved in a planned power outage. The staff was uncommunicative, disrespectful upon check-in, "Haven't you ever slept in the dark?" They didn't communicate delays. We were unable to access our room in the dark, no hot water for showers, no sauna or hot tub. Would not recommend the hotel due to their lack of empathy and general disrespect for paying guests.

I loved having a kitchen and clean and well functioning shower. The area and view was beautiful. For communication, I would go and ask the desk for any info. My only recommendation is that the windows are cleaned for better views.

Neat old building. The one downside was the room didnt seem to have its own A/C and it was warm inside that night. Opened the windows to let air in and that made it too loud as we were next to the street. The ceiling of the main room had signs of leak and a hole, but otherwise was very cool.

The lobby / great room was a bit of a shock. It had dark red / burgundy walls and dark rustic wood everywhere. It also had a huge fireplace in the middle. This was not our style and it seemed kind of creepy. It was also quite dark inside the lobby. Our room was upstairs with no elevator. The room had a separate bedroom and a kitchenette, which was nice. The bathroom had been recently renovated- and it was very nice, while the rest of the room was more 1950’s cottage. There was no AC and it was a quite warm day when we were there. It did cool off overnight- but we wished we had AC. The June Lake area was very nice.
