Only reason for the downgrade is distance from the town centre and lake. In every other sense a fabulous hotel. Our luggage got lost by the delivery company and the hotel staff went above and beyond to chase up, then upgraded our room because my partner was upset. Luggage was found and delivered. Onsen in the hotel is superb. Shuttle to the town is handy but no return shuttle if you want to return to the hotel in the morning is frustrating.
