Hotel Regina offers a daily shuttle bus to and from Kawaguchiko station, which was an unexpected bonus. There are quite a few local restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and this made our stay at Hotel Regina an absolute pleasure. The cherry on top was the best, and unobstructed, view of Mt Fuji from our room. Highly recommended. Thank you!

The good: Hotel Regina was spotless. Our room was spacious with plenty of amenities. The bed was big and comfortable. And most importantly when the clouds cleared the view was breathtaking of Mt Fuji. This was the reason we choose this hotel. Most of the staff were also friendly. Good variety of food at breakfasts both western and Japanese. The bad: The hotel shuttle wasnt reliable, we waited at the station for 50mins. Couldnt call, so asked the tourist information twice to phone the hotel. We found the list of rules given to us over the top. (Picture attached) this included having to book a time slot for breakfast. Gave us fresh towels, but didnt make up the room. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant, and the waiter only spoke to talk to my partner, and at no point directed any information to me. I found this very rude. We also felt uncomfortable with the amount of staff watching us eat, waiting for us to finish eating. This made us feel rushed (the restaurant was particularly empty). The bed duvet was too thick, and the aircon blew out hot air. I wouldnt recommend staying here but my partner would.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel fairly close to Kawaguchiko Station for a one-night stay. This place fit the bill. A shuttle bus is avaliable when prearranged, otherwise it's an inexpensive taxi ride. While the room was dated, it was clean. The shower and toilet rooms were modern. The breakfast was good. Best of all, the room had a balcony wth a great view of Mt. Fuji, our reason for visiting.

Visitor from Vancouver, Canada. While the area is lovely and the hotel staff were kind and welcoming, our stay was unfortunately disappointing. We had to change rooms three times due to persistent smoke or other unpleasant odors, which significantly impacted our experience. Additionally, the rooms are extremely small—there wasn’t enough space to open a suitcase and comfortably move between the bed, desk, and bathroom. Although we initially booked for five nights, we decided to leave after just one. I would recommend considering alternative accommodations in the area.

Loved the Onsen, staff was very friendly and helpful, there were laundry facilities on site. Pretty close to very good restaurants (I didn't try the traditional restaurant in the hotel), and the view were great. Bed was pretty girl though and I woke up the first night with the stiffest neck. Had a great view of Mt. Fuji from my room though which was awesome, so definitely a good option.

Hotel was well kept, very spacious for a Japanese hotel, fantastic view of Mt Fuji, very good breakfast, free shuttle to train stations and very helpful/friendly/professional staff. Our only small negative comment is in regard to the older shuttle driver. He became known as “Grumpy-san” to our family. We are able to converse in basic Japanese, but he would only grunt at us and other riders even when greeting him. Also, he was not very shy about laying on the shuttle horn at tourist which was surprising. Overall Hotel Regina Kawaguchi was a great place to stay and is recommended.

Great view of Mt Fuji from every room

Great view on Mt Fuji from every room and the meals were very good. There are 2 different menus available for dinner, kaiseki or shabu-shabu. Breakfast was always the same buffet but many different choices. Our problem was the room temperature can't be adjusted other than leaving the exterior door open and the duvet was very heavy with no top sheet.
