Infused into the rock face of the rolling hills of the Konavle valley, surrounded by lofty cypress trees, this delightful retreat enjoys captivating views across the rural landscape towards the Adriatic Sea. Cleverly designed inside and out, comfortable accommodation is complemented by terraced grounds and a lovely swimming pool, that honeymooners or a couple are sure to enjoy.

Inside, modern furnishings sit alongside a facade of cool mountain rock and exposed stone walls, providing the backdrop to an informal open plan living area and kitchen. A staircase leads up to the mezzanine double bedroom with en suite shower room and windows that frame the wonderful views beyond.

The addition of a covered terrace at the front of the house creates the perfect place for relaxing throughout the day, whilst soaking up the valley views.  The rest of the outdoor space is given over to the pool terrace and barbecue area.  The backdrop of rock and cypress trees can be explored by the stone pathway that follows the natural contours of the hillside, as it winds its way up to various seating spots. 

A 300m stroll downhill brings you to the local bar and shop selling essentials. The nearby village of Ljuta (6km), on the River Ljuta, has a couple of traditional restaurants where you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the riverside (refreshingly cool in the summer). The delightful small town of Gruda (7km) has a couple of supermarkets and cafes, as well as two restaurants, while further afield the fabulous UNESCO city of Dubrovnik (34km) is a must visit.  The clear waters of the Adriatic sea can be enjoyed at Molunat (18km), a charming fishing village with a beach and cafes.

We mention for information only that the owners live adjacent to Duka. They do not use any of the house facilities and your privacy is completely assured at all times.
Please note the pathway that winds its way along the terraced hillside is uneven in parts and care must be taken.

• This rental is subject to a 8.77 € per person Villa Damage Waiver Insurance (infants under 2 years are exempt).
