Some of the staff at night time was not really helpful however the morning staff was very helpful. I really loved the view from the outdoor pool. I loved that they had both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool also had a small hot tub. They were both opened from 10am-10pm. The lake is literally less than 5 mins away by car. There are some attraction in walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was okay. As good as any continental breakfast can get. I guess that depends on your palate. Rooms could have been more thoroughly cleaned. I found I couldn’t stop sneezing because there was a lot of areas not dusted. The toilet could’ve also used a good scrubbing. Overall I’d say I’d come back but inspect the room as soon as I arrive and request and thorough cleaning if needed. It was really nice and quiet at least where our room was on the first floor on the left of the building. They have complimentary coffee and tea in the main lobby available at all times. Also, a microwave available in the same area.

The room smelled horribly(urine). The mutliple beds suites is completly different then what they show in the images. Kind of disapointed after paying almost 1000$. Besides that, the food was okay and the staff where friendly.

Gumba Best Western Lake George

Best Western Lake George was a very good experience. It was very clean, the pools were well maintained and the dining area was clean and well stocked with food. When we checked in there was no desk chair and I had an important zoom meeting. Amanda allowed me to go in the dining area to prepare for the meeting and the next day she had a chair brought to the room for me. There was no phone cord so I had to walk to the front desk. The rugs were clean but the hallway rugs are HIDEOUS and need updating. Amando and the rest of the staff were all outstanding, accommodating and friendly.

Never even stayed. Booked online, checked in and was then told no rooms available. And still no idea what happened. An online confirmation doesn’t necessarily mean you have a room with this hotel. Be careful.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price The front desk service was terrible. There was no smile or warm welcome when I arrived. I stepped in at 3:40 PM to check in, but the front desk lady was rude and told me check-in starts at 4:00 PM. I asked if the room was ready, and she said yes—but I could only check in at 4:00 PM unless I paid a $50 early check-in fee. There were many senior citizens waiting as well, but she didn’t accommodate them either. At 4:00 PM, I was first in line, yet it still took about 30 minutes to check in. There were at least 20 families in line, and if each took 10 minutes, the total check-in process could easily exceed two hours. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed a foul smell, like rotten eggs. The bathroom was outdated and very small. The TV was old and tiny. The indoor pool was dirty with slimy water, although the outdoor pool was thankfully clean. The only positive part of my stay was the housekeeping lady—she was helpful and always smiling. Unfortunately, I had to deal with the same rude front desk lady again during checkout, and her attitude hadn’t improved. I paid nearly $200 per night, and for that price, I expected much better service. I will not be returning.

The property on the outside is beautiful.The view around the property is beautiful. It’s safe. Great shopping area .great food choices nearby , the thing about the Hotel , which upset me was ,The bathroom was not cleaned properly but the front desk staff came and cleaned it so it was OK. they even offer to change, our room but I didn’t need to do that as they came and cleaned it..

I stayed 4 nights and they told me to leave the hanger out to have my room cleaned and I did this everyday and no one cleaned my room at all for the amount of money I paid for 4 nights I had to go get my own towels from the front desk.. Bathroom door only stayed opened with the garbage can.. I go to Lake Geoge alot since I am from there and my family is there been looking for a hotel where I can keep coming back .. so much money for this room and I had to make my own bed and get my own towels from the front desk and also I think my room was an overflow since it was old and hardly anything worked

I reserved four rooms because my extended family and I were in town for a funeral. In one of the rooms there was a Vodka bottle in the garbage and unopened food under the head of the bed. My room had mold in the bathroom. The breakfast was suppose to go until 10am, but on both days they stopped putting out food shortly after 9am. The lady that worked in the breakfast area made a point to say very loudly to everyone in the food area that she was not putting anymore food out. Checkout is at 11am, however all ofnthe key cards stopped working in the morning, so after breakfast (around 9 am) we all were locked out of our rooms and had to go to the front desk. The outside pool area was very nice. The location is good amd the area felt safe.

I liked the breakfast and pools. I didn't like the bathroom: the sink was low drain and the shower had mold stains. Also, we were in 3 people and there was only 2 sets of towels. I asked one more, I have to wait more than one hour to receive the towel. The same happened to the microwave I required.

The rooms are double beds, not queens. Room smelled like must and dampness. Breakfast room was over crowded. Breakfast staff was a trying to be funny but came off rude when I asked for something, and it was on the counter I just didn’t see it. Breakfast staff had a hard time keeping food stocked.
