Great location. Very noisy
The location of the apartment is fantastic. It is in walking distance of everything. Restaurants,cafes,shops,Metro,Buses etc. It is also a flat neighborhood which makes walking very easy
The negative is the noise in the apartment particularly at night, even after 2000 and before 0800, which made for 2 ½ weeks of being woken up at all hours of the night. The Bedroom shown in the pictures is in the front entrance of the apartment. Next door there is an apartment called “ Garden” which has room for up to 6-8 people. The 2 apartments are connected by a door which, I assume , can be opened to make one very large apartment. The door offers no soundproofing nor does it block the light from the other apartment.
The first night we arrived, there was a woman crying and talking on the phone until at least 1am. She could be heard clearly in our apartment. Then a family with children arrived. They could be heard talking until late at night. One night , they cooked something in the kitchen at about 10pm that smelled so strong, we had to open our windows to let the smell out of our apartment. Finally a group of women arrived for a Hen Party . They spent the early evening drinking wine and beer( we saw the garbage) and generally having a good time. They would go out late and come back even later. Needless to say they were very loud
Since the bedroom, is adjacent to the front door, one hears people going up and down the stairs at all hours. People ran up and down the stairs, pulled their luggage down the stairs one by one and generally were very noisy . At the bottom of the stairs, there is a door that leads to the outside which closes with a very loud Bang. That door is directly below the bedroom and needless to say the noise of closing is heard at all hours of the night
Finally, there is noise on the street itself including the wine bar a few doors down where people can be heard having a good time until late at night
Bottom line, great location but very ,very hard to sleep quietly throughout the night from 2200 to 0800
