This hotel is super convenient. It can be reached from inside the train station, but, it is quiet inside. There are views of the river. It is decorated with quaint antiques. There were a lot of nice touches like complimentary wine, mini bar and chocolates on the pillow. Breakfast was plentiful. Highly recommend!!

Right next to train station. Water view. Walk to restaurants. Great selection as soon as you walk out of the hotel. Rooms are quiet. Service was great. Hotels are clean, multiple charging ports for your services. Highly recommended you book here to enjoy Lisbon. Hotel is stunning.

The Long March!

This hotel is right above a train and metro station and runs the entire length of the station, which is probably about a quarter mile long. The room they gave us was nearly at the end of the corridor and took two minutes to walk to from the elevator (I timed it)! Maybe that wouldn't have been so bad if there was more than one entrance to the hotel, but there wasn't. There was a staircase listed as an emergency exit nearby that we'd thought we'd give a try to at least get down, but when we got to the bottom, the door out was locked with no way to open it. If there was a fire, there would be no way to get out. If you get a room here, be sure you get one with the last two digits as 50 or higher. Any lower room numbers mean a long march, and god forbid you forget something in your room and have to go back for it. Also, we were on the top floor and heard a loud rumbling that we realized was a metro train. It felt like a small earthquake. This happened regularly as trains came through. Finally, someone at the front desk was less than helpful. On our second day, we came back to the room only to discover that our key cards no longer worked. My partner had to walk all the way back and down to the front desk to deal with this. First, they didn't believe that the cards didn't work, and then they told us that we had only booked for one night (easily disprovable). They finally relented and gave us new cards.

At the edge of Alfama, so not central to old Lisbon, but right above the train and metro stations, so a quick 3-stop metro to the start of the ave de Liberdade. We took the train in from Porto the day before our flight out of Lisbon, was a perfect call in that scenario as we stepped off the train and were at the hotel.

Hotel was nice, but rooms were small with barely anywhere to store clothes and suitcases. Only stayed for a couple of days so we made it work, but had we stayed longer (like a week) we would not have had enough room for all of our clothes and other things. General cleanliness of the room could have been better (carpets were stained/dirty and the bathroom/shower had dirt or mold present). The view was nice but blocked a lot of the time due to the cruise ships coming in and out every day or so. The elevator was a nice plus and the hotel was quiet with nice staff. It worked for our short trip, but we probably would not return to this location if we were to visit Lisbon again.
