Didn’t have breakfast, I ate a cafe 10’min walk away.. I don’t think they were doing hot food at the hotel ( I would call it more a guesthouse) I’m surprised my Bed didn’t break, and the springs were felt through the mattress..I had a room that faced the street.. trust me I got more sleep in NYC then here.. the amount of sirens etc

Convenience, price and decent standard of room with a comfortable bed. Simple check in/out - friendly staff. Accessibility would be an issue - lots of flights of stairs to my room - but if that’s not a major requirement I’d recommend it. My second stay as I go to an annual film festival just off Coldharbour Lane, and half the price of the Premier Inn I used to use in Brixton.

The room was nice & characterful. There was a lack of space around the beds & access to the window could only be had, by climbing over the bed. Staff were not available & although he helped me down the stairs with my bag (I use a crutch) he was not very helpful in the dining area. Also the text re breakfast was misleading. As a Londoner I wouldn't say it was local to The Oval.

My Room looked nothing like it was advertised! Was told I was on the top floor with bags not ideal! No Hot water the first night, thought the bed was going to collapse and the springs come through the mattress! Did I complain no, what would have happened? I don’t think I would have been moved, plus you get what you pay for.. Was great location, though don’t have the window open.. it was louder out there than New York City! Next time pay the money and goto the premier inn!!
