Whilst the hotel is clean and well finished and quiet , the noise outside from the street ruins the stay. Hardly any sleep due to people walking along the street and then builders working on shops outside and traffic and shop shutters opening at 5.00am. Complained to management and received usual sorry email but not their responsibility etc, no form of compensation offered for a wasted night and cost of stay.

Here’s a shorter, clean version: ⸻ The hotel is in an old building, and that shows. When I checked in, there was no TV remote in my room, so I had to go back to reception. Later, I found the kettle was broken. I was given two faulty kettles before finally receiving a working one. That said, it was the cheapest hotel in the area, and the staff did try to fix the issues. If you’re mainly looking for a low price and don’t mind a few inconveniences, it’s reasonable for the cost.

Staff were good and the room was nice. BUT a hotel sells you a night of sleep - this hotel has very noisy heating/aircon - I turned it off in my room, but my neighbours unit could be heard running all night and it stopped me from sleeping
