Check in was very smooth and reception staff polite and friendly. I booked this hotel as I had an online exam to take and needed quiet and good wifi. The room was on 3rd floor and although it was peaceful (no sudden loud noises or screaming children), the wifi connection was awful. It kind of defeated the whole purpose of my stay. I had to purchase unlimited data from my network provider and hotspot my laptop for 2 days. Getting onto netflix or youtube was not possible unless waiting forever for connection. Bathroom clean and equipped with toiletries. Could have done with more loo roll bit easily solved, just asked reception. Bed was comfortable, linens not highest quality but sufficient. Lots of reataurants on doorstep. A pleasant stay minus poor wifi.

Staff friendly enough, hotel very clean and tidy, but TV never worked the 2 days we were there despite the reception saying they would get maintenance to check it out. They never did. The sensor light in bathroom literally stayed on for 10 seconds before switching off, mid shower. Probably closer to giving 4 stars than 2!
