For the price, this place just wasn’t worth it. The bathroom was pretty grim, the rooms weren’t soundproof at all, and I had to endure a party upstairs that went on for hours. If you're looking for a lively, party-filled weekend, this might be the spot for you. But if you’re after a peaceful retreat in the city, I’d look elsewhere.

Really comfortable stay, hotel was in an excellent location. A bit of confusion at check which was so unnecessary- sorted when another team member stepped in but did put a small blip on the experience without really much apology- also where our room was located you could hear very loudly the sound of the bar being set up ! So if possible I’d ask for a room on the other side of hotel- I’d still fully recommend for a London mini break just a different side of the hotel next time

Check in with Gisèle was amazing, a great welcome. Hotel is great but we felt very old. Clientele was young and the music at the roof too bar was ridiculously loud although the staff were amazing! The sound proofing needs work as we were in the 3rd floor and heard the music from the bar on floor 7. Also the windows need more glazing as you heard everything outside. Hotel is well located. Breakfast on Sunday morning was chaotic and badly organised. The woman server was so miserable! Good for 40s and under. If you like the finer things in life then I'd avoid.

False advertisement

The first room we were checked into did not have the advertised bathtub or any view. Just a rough glass window with no possibility to see through it. The second room was ready after waiting 10 minutes, then 20 more, then 20 more, then 20 more (we would’ve gone to do something else if told that we would have to wait for so long). Wasting an hour of our time past checkin time (not counting the first room problem), waiting for a room fitting the promises we booked on to be ready. We have not got it: That room also did not have a bathtub. The city views were a normal street view (2nd floor). Overall it took us 3 hours to check in, and didn’t get the bathtub we wanted (and that was necessary that weekend) People were nice, we were offered apologies, a drink at the bar, complimentary breakfast, and a bottle of £10 red wine. When I left, I informed reception of the false information on hotels.com website, and sent two emails to management to insist on this important point. They said they’d do something about it but it’s been 3 months and still nothing has been done. Ludicrous false advertisement for an otherwise nice hotel. The bedding and linen are fantastic, the breakfast is nice, the people amenable. The rooms are modern and clean. Do better, sales/marketing people, you’re letting everyone down as usual. I would not have left any review if you had.
